Breakfast and lunch attire in the MDR

According to your reasoning, I could show up in a g-string swimsuit at lunch in the MDR because it does not specifically list it as prohibited during lunch? Sweet!!!

What sailing date is this? I've got a placeholder I need to use before it expires. =)

To the OP, while it may be allowed I don't think swim suits/ are appropriate. I would suggest cabanas for that attire.

Is breakfast and lunch good at the MDR's?
Breakfast is usually decent, but doesn't have the same array of choices as the buffet. Personally, I think the quality is slightly better. Lunch in the MDRs is a whole different story: some of our favorite MDR meals are lunches, and you do have the option of going multiple courses there. My wife is particularly fond of their chilled fruit soups.

One other quick point on the original topic: normally I tend to be of the "live and let live and mind my own business" persuasion unless it has a direct, personal impact on me. But on a recent cruise we were up in Cabanas at lunchtime, and very near us, in my line of sight, a certain gentleman was having lunch wearing nothing but swimming trunks. I'm not the modesty police, but it was a bit jarring, and I'm not entirely sure it was the most sanitary situation either. None of the crew said anything, though.

You're supposed to wear a cover up. So eww. Swim trunks that look like shorts and a shirt should be fine. But not just a swimsuit.
