We are doing a large family breakfast and trying to decide if its worth doing Cape May and paying a little extra vs Capt Grille.

Two of the families are staying at Beach Club and having teenagers we want to do a buffet. Given the ages of the kids and that we are doing Ohana's and Chef Mickeys on different days of the trip with just the immediate family the characters are nice but not essential for this mean.

We've done Cape May most trips and have loved it, but one of the families mentioned wanting to try Capt Grille since we don't need the characters. I'm hesitant since we always have enjoyed Cape May.

So some options on is Cape May worth the extra or just do Capt Grille?

We're doing both on our upcoming trip. Have enjoyed Cape May previously and my son loves the characters, I've also heard good things about the Captain's Grille breakfast buffet and want to give it a try. If you are already doing two other character meals and don't have any young kids it could be a nice change of pace.

I've done CG before and it was really good. From what I understand it's basically the same buffet as CM but minus the characters. There is also (or there was) an ala carte menu at CG as well. I want the buffet so not an issue but it was very laid back, relaxing with really good food. With doing 2 character meals already, I wouldn't hesitate to do CG for breakfast at all.
