Breafastosaurus 8.00 ADR - parking???

I know this thread was done some time ago - but can't find it now i need to refresh my memory!!!!

We have an ADR for 8.00 at Breakfastosaurus (park open time 9.00) - We are staying off site so will be driving in - does anyone know what time the car park will be open?? Don't want to arrive too early and have to hang about waiting for opening - but also don't want to leave it to late as i'm sure it will take at least 10min to walk to restaurant!!!

It has been posted that the carpark does not open till near park open hours - if this is the case how would you suggest getting into the park??

We had a really bad experience with this on our past trip for our 8AM ADR.

I made everyone get up early so we would be in the car and ready to go and to the Animal Kingdom by 7:30.AM so we arrive at about 7:35AM we were about 5th in line. Long story, short they dont open the parking lot until 7:55. Meanwhile Buses were zooming by us.. My family was festering because we argued back and forth about taking the bus versus the rental car, and I won saying we needed to take the rental car. Hmm.. I was wrong.

Everyone keep telling me.. dont to worry that they would still seat us. Well I keep saying but If I wanted an 8:30ADR, I would have made an 8:30ADR... I wanted to eat breakfast at 8AM.

Then to boot, our tickets got demagentized.. I was screaming at the people, if you let people make 8AM ressies than you should give them a way to get there in time. I was a little angry, okay a little ANGRY!!!

So. I would not recommend driving the car. It is almost impossable (at least on our day) to get there on time. I know this is illegal.. but drastic measures call for drastic action. I would swing over to CSR.. tell them that you are eating at Peppermarket. Park the car, than take the bus to animal kingdom. I picked CSR.. because it is close to AK (so not a long bus ride), plus it is a moderate ( we stayed there) and I dont see them being strict about parking at all. If you go to the far right, you can follow someone in easy after they put up the gate. Or go straight forward and park in the main parking lot.

Thanks for the info - sounds like you had a terrible morning!! Really dont know what to do now.
Can you use the Disney transportation bus if you are not staying on site???

Yes you can. As a guest of the theme park or resort--you can use any transportation to get you to your appropriate destination.

We had a similar experience last year. 8 AM ressies for Donald's and they opened the parking gates at 7:45 AM. Take the bus!

Absolutely take a Disney bus to get to an early Donald's breakfast. For whatever reason, the parking lot at the AK does not let cars in early....even if you have a dining reservation. This has been going on for years.

Everyone with a WDW theme park admission ticket is entitled to us all WDW transportation which includes buses, boats, and the monorail.

I would be careful about leaving your car at a resort and then going to a park. They do give temporary permits to park in the resorts and they are usually good for 3 hours. If you stay too long, you run the risk of having you car towed. There are too many people who try to avoid paying the parking fees and use the resorts as free parking. We have seen cars being towed before so it can happen.

If you parked at a resort, went to Breakfastosaurus to eat, then had someone move the car, that would probably be ok.
