Anybody here ever been to see Braves games in March at WDW? If so did you buy tickets ahead of time and were the games sold out? Were you able to get autographs? Want to take my 72 yr old Father soon.

Yep, we went to a game this spring. It was a fun time, much like a minor league atmosphere, and yes, the players are very accessible for autographs. We bought tickets in like January or so, right when they went on sale, because we are Yankee fans, and those games tend to sell out. I don't know if many of the games do, but I know for sure that the game we went to was, indeed, sold out. I suppose it depends what team you're going to see. I would recommend checking the schedule next season and judging it by the caliber of the opposing team. Hope this helped!!

If you are talking about this year then you are too late. The Braves are in Atlanta playing the Red Sox today and Tomorrow and then the season starts on Monday. There will be no more Spring Training games in WDW this year. Sorry.

We did this in March, 2001. I loved it. It was a dream come true for me. If you love Braves baseball, you should plan one of these trips for next year. Be prepared for the weather to go from mid 60's to low 30's in the course of the game though. We got caught in shorts and t-shirts. It was a good excuse to buy a blanket and sweatshirts though. lol Mickey

We had planned to go this year but cancelled our trip after my kids' days off from school became snow make-up days. I had investigated the tickets, though, and it looked like the Yankees game sold out the day tickets went on sale. There were still tickets to the other game (Marlins, I think) about a week later. There's no question you would have to get advance tickets to see the Yankees and, I would guess the Mets (since they always sell out really early in Atlanta). Not sure which other teams are in that category, though.

We love going to Spring training! Everytime we have gone we have always got autographs. I think the players are much more laid back and most are more than happy to sign autographs, take pictures, etc. Tom Glavine was the best! Too bad he is no longer with the Braves though. I have many pictures with him and quite a few signed balls. We always have a great time when we go for spring training and the ballpark is beautiful!
We always buy Disney's spring training package and the tickets come with it. (and they are always very good tickets I might add)
Try to go next year. I know you & your Father will have a great time!
