So, I have been waiting for the "right" time to start back on my WW plan and really try. I think today will be the day. So far, I've done fairly well for the first day back OP. I've been going to the gym once a week for the past month or two! I know, that's terrible, but better than not at all, right? My DS (2 1/2), did not sleep last night- at least not until about 5 AM!!! I didn't have the heart to make him go to daycare as it was to be his first day at a new one. I didn't want him sleepy all day and cranky- not a good first impression! So, I stayed home with him. It's been a long day. I'm not letting him nap so he'll sleep tonight and he's a little cranky.
Well, here's my stats and history. I am currently 5'6" and weigh 175 pounds. I was a dancer all the way through college and always had what I thought were big legs and always thought I was big. But, I really wasn't- I was actually in great shape and had a great body. when I look back at pics, I'm so jealous! I've never been skinny, but I had a great figure that was healthy and fit. So, got married in 2000 and had gained a little to that point- was at about 135-140 then. In 2002, I had my son, Alex. Had gained weight b/f getting PG and was up to 173 b/f even getting pg. I only gained another 13 pounds while pg, so not too shabby. I ate really well while pg and thought about everything I put into my body. After I went back to work, I decided to get serious and joined WW online. I did pretty well and got down to about 160 fairly quickly. Well, got a little cocky and putit right back on. Since then, I've gone up and down between 165-175 for the past 2 years. I really want to do this, though. I do plan on another child, but not for another 6-12 months b/f we even start trying. I'd like to be healthier when I get pg this time.
Here are my struggles: I love to cook and to eat! My Dh is quite thin and has no problem with weight, nor has he ever. He doesn't understand why I can't just lose the weight. Doesn't understand why I don't have much willpower. He also wants me to excercise, but not if it inconveinences(sp. sorry!) him. He has been doing better by agreeingto pick DS up from daycare on MWF. I always make it to the gym on Mondays. By Wednesday, I sometimes make it. I never make it on Fridays! I am a morning person and would so much better if I could work out in the mornings, but there is no way! I'd have to get Ds to daycare when they open at 6:30. then go way back to the gym and I'd never make it to work on time, still! Oh well. I will work on the afternoons more. Plus, when I work out, I am usually home late enough that Ds had been fed so I can eat better.
So, today's day one and here's what I've had:
B-fast- none- i know I should eat it, but there's nothing I really like. Plus, I'm low on food, so I'll do better when I can get to the store!
Lunch- White rice and pinto beans- yep, low on food! LOL - but ds loves this and he ate it up, so that's ok. For points, it was 12 total! For snack, I had a slice of apple and a tblsp of peanut butter. I'm at 15 points. So, i have 7 left for dinner. I am baking a cornish hen. I think I will slice it up and put it on a salad. I won't make it to the gym, though. I do plan on going walking with Ds and DH after dinner. I hope to get Ds worn out so he sleeps tonight!!
OK, so that's enough for a day, right? I will try to keep this up. Comments are welcome!
