We're just back from a week at Disney and we're brand new DVC members. I can't believe we actually did it--neither can my husband. I talked him into going to the open house because they offered him lunch at Spoodles. Disney ain't stupid.

Anyway, we purchased 170 points at VWL. We thought long and hard about waiting for a resale at the Boardwalk, but the location sold us in the end. We have a six year old and the Magic Kingdom is where he wants to be. Epcot really didn't do it for him. The beauty of Wilderness Lodge may have had a little do with it also. ;)

We're Air Force, so planning 11 months out is going to be tough, but we're gong to give it our best shot.

I got lots of info from these boards and from my E-mail friend Cherry (who I met on these boards). Thanks so much.

Congratulations and Welcome Home! we never did the tour either time we bought. does that mean disney owes us 2 lunches?

Congratulations! I have two sons (9 and 5) who just love WL. I wanted to wait for BCV, but my dh and the boys are hooked. You can't beat that boat ride to MK if that is your favorite park.

We just bought at WL this week, so I guess we are neighbors! :D

Welcome home. We like sitting in the lobby on rainy days drinking coffee or hot coco. Can not beat it. :)

Congrats and welcome home.
My DH is retired Navy and planning so far in advance was not too difficult. Its great having those 4 weeks a year. His new job only offers him 2 weeks a year. :(

Welcome home. We are both new members. I just closed on an OKW resale about a week ago. Can't wait for the first visit home.

THIS IS SOOOOO EXCITING!!! My first WELCOME HOME since I am also waiting on papers to come. We purchased-probably because of a 5 day trip to WL in Feb. of this year. It has just enough of Disney to satisfy my 6 year old and enough relaxing for a retail business owner Mom to get away from business. I did not think about my store once while we were there. And my son loves the water slide. He even got me to go down it with him. I swore I wasn't the water slide type. It must be that Disney thing that grabs all of us!!! Congratulations again!!!

Who would think for such a low pressure tour that Disney could "sucker" so many of us in.Welcome Home and we can't wait to be suckered into an add-on. ;)
