YAHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We've done the searaycers at both. I definitely say go to the MK resorts to do them...there is more places to explore and a lot more space. As much as I LOVE CSR, the lake is not that big and there really isn't a lot of space to go...and you never leave the resort in the searaycer.

Do the sea racers at the MK resorts or the campgrounds. The lake at CSR is not very big - you really just go in circles. the Mk resorts have more water to explore!:cool2:

Thanks to you both. If we do that, we'll head over there. Any idea where I can find prices for them?

You might try the "unofficial" fact threads for one of the resorts. I know that Buzz had the prices posted early in this thread for the CSR at one point.

I found this on Buzz's site. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Gonna see if I can find it for the Poly too. Thinking it might be different, but just in case anyone is interested:
LA MARINA
The marina is now open seasonally. Check with the front desk to see if the marina is open during your stay at CSR. A list of all CSR recreational activities is listed below. Prices may vary.

How long from CSR to get to AK lodge (Boma ressie) by bus. I'm assuming CSR to AK then AK to AK lodge.

How long if we take a cab?

We're trying to figure changing a dining ressie in order to be at the resort to make our flight checkin for SW.

Thanks for any info!

Yes, bus to the AK (assuming that the AK is still open when you are going to AKL) and then bus to AK Lodge. It take us, driving, about five minutes to drive from CSR to the AK; I would tack on another five minutes to the AKL for a total of 10 minutes. I hope this helps.

yes, thank you!

I did not read through this thread so forgive for asking a question I am quite sure has already been answered.

Have ALL the rooms been refurbished with white duvets/flat screens?

We are thinking of switching resorts.

Thank you!

I just asked this so I can answer you...all but floors 1,2 and 3 of some of the casitas buildings. Due to be done by October 9th.

Oooh I am arriving 30th Spetember I hope I get a rehabbed room! But I guess by that point the only ones not finished will be under construction :confused3

Hey folks!

I'm at Orlando International waiting for my flight back from WDW. Had to leave at Oh-Dark-Hundred for ME. Overall my stay at CSR was nice but I didn't fall in 'love'. As much as I wanted to love it, the rooms reminded me of a hotel I stayed at near LAX and every morning I woke up I felt like I had to jump in my car and onto the 405 freeway.

Aside from a few CMs who need a refresher course in Disney Magic, our stay was quite pleasant. I'll post my trip report with a few pics as soon as I've unpacked and gotten my head back above water at work.

We took the cab back from AKL to CSR after dinner at Jiko. I think it took less than 15 minutes and cost about $10.

Wow! You've picked some really great places! I am so jealous - I'd love to do the deluxe plan one day!

As for Big River Grille, they don't take ADR's through Disney's line. You'll have to call them directly at (407) 560-0253. The first time I called, some girl told me they only take reservations 30-days in advance. A wonderful DIS-er on here suggested I call back, so I did. I got a very nice man named Rich, who not only set up our reservation, also told me that if we mention we're staying on-site, we'd get a 10% discount (for anything extra, we figured -- they do take the dining plan). :goodvibes

Thanks! I still need to call for this one. I made my ADRs this morning and the CM told me Big River Grill was walk up only.lol Was the food good? This is the only restaurant on my list that I've never tried (oh, and Bomas for breakfast). I did the DxDDP May '08 and also last Sept and really enjoyed it. It's alot of food, but I love the appetizers and also love having that many credits to play with.

Wow--I got full after reading the second day. :rotfl:

You have some good places on there and some we've never tried (dying to try Flying Fish again after many, many years). We loved Yak & Yeti when we were there in September.

The Flying Fish is one my favorite restaurants, but I hate to use 2 credits for it on the basic DDP. With the DxDDP I have enough credits to play around with and do several Signature Restaurants. Yes, it's alot of food, but as I said above I love having that many credits to play with, plus I really like the signature restaurants. I just hope I have enough room to use some of those snack credits at the Food & Wine Festival. lol I tried to space the meals out better than I did last year when I used the DxDDP. Last year I had our meals too close together. Hopefully this year I'll be hungry enough for my next meal.

We will be dining together a couple of times...
10/1 Maya Grill-D
10/2- Boma-D
10/3-MG-B
We are also on the DXDDP. It's tough trying to fit in all thoses ADR's!

I tried to book online this morning, but because I had to go with a King room Sept 26th, then a standard room for Sept 27th-Oct 4th (thanks to the AP discount not having any standard rooms on the 26th:headache:), the online system would just let me book for the 26th & 27th. I had to call at 6:00am CT, got a great CM who asked for both ressie numbers, said no problem, they could see I was there for the entire week, and was able to book the rest of my ADRs with no problem. I had to switch a couple of lunches around, but still got Le Cellier twice (lunch and dinner) and even got California Grill at 7:20pm my first night to see Wishes. What a way to start the trip!:cool1: Oh yes, I also decided at the last minute to switch Chef's de France for San Angel Inn. I love Chef's de France, but eat there every trip, so decided to give San Angel Inn another try (didn't like it the last time I ate there). I got every ADR within about 15 minutes of when I wanted it. When I switched from the free dining to the AP discount, I was able to upgrade to the DxDDP with the money I saved and Disney still owes my credit card money. Can't beat that!

I'll be at:

Maya Grill 8:00pm on 10/01 (Plan to switch t0 Kouzzina as soon as it can be booked though)

Boma 7:45pm on 10/02

Maya Grill 7:45am on 10/03

I usually carry a little lime Green Overland Donner Placer bag with a lime green Mickey head on it. Say hi, if you see me. I usually meet up with some other Disers every trip at Le Cellier. This year I'm meeting some Sat 10/03, so made that ADR with three extra seats. I'm not concerned though, because we always make it for a few extra people and have never had a problem filling the empty seats. Can't wait!

I went back and added the correct times and days to my previous post.

have the ranchos been remodeled? Sorry if this has already been asked. But thanks for any help!:goodvibes

They told me that too. What would I have done without the DIS?! He did say that we may still have to wait a bit, but it wouldn't be but a few minutes. (How is that different from anywhere else?)

We haven't eaten there yet -- we go August 17th, but I'll be happy to let you know then. I've read a lot of mixed reviews on here -- burgers are supposed to be the best, but I haven't heard anyone say any of the food was terrible. We really wanted to go to the Boardwalk (and Spoodles will be closed). DH is pretty stoked about the beer though! ;)

You're going to some really great places (a lot of places I want to try still) -- I would love to read a dining report, if you're up to it (hint-hint). :)

Have a great trip!

Thanks! I'll see what I can do.:rotfl::rotfl: Someone may have to tell me how to post pictures though. I'm rather technically challenged.:rotfl::rotfl:

Does anyone have feedback on the connecting rooms situation at CSR? Generally I put one of my room requests NOT to be connecting, as I find the door is usually a weak spot in the sound-proofing. (I know it's never sound proof, but I prefer to avoid extra opportunities for hearing my neighbours.) Are many of the rooms connecting? Any worse or better than other hotels rooms with connecting doors?

Question about the new fridges in the renovated rooms. How big are they? I am wanting to pick up milk but do not know if a gallon is to big or should I get half gallons. Thanks!

Fridges are the same size they have always been...I'd get half gallons.
