The ethernet connection is on the desk, there is a panel of plugs and I believe it is with them. The cord in the room will not reach from the desk to the bed. I used dial-up (to save the $10 a day) and used the phone cord by the bed so I could sit on the bed and use my laptop.

On the a/c, you may also want to change it from auto to on when you do your adjustment. We found that it kept the room a lot cooler when it was "on" instead of just "auto"

Look what came today!!!

So much closer to my stay!!!

Question: As you can see, I've already gotten my ME stuff. I was under the impression that it would come a lot closer to my depature date. I haven't gotten the package information yet, when does that typically show up? I thought I would get that before the ME.

I book through a TA and I usually get my stuff about three weeks ahead of time.

I wanted to do cartwheels the first time I saw my ME package! Isn't it fun to know your visit is so near in the future?!

It is! This is the first time I'm taking ME. Back in '03 I took the Mears. I was 18 and going with my best friend from HS. It was our "Senior Trip," just the 2 of us, so renting a car was out of the question. I'm excited to give it a try! I'm checking my bag on the way down, just so all I have with me when I arrive at CSR is my purse! (Flying JetBlue, so I think I can survive on the TVs and my IPod for the trip!) That way when the bus pulls up, I don't have to wait for my bag underneath, I can just go right to the check in line. (I'm only going to have a small duffle with me since I'm only going for 3 days. Normally I'd just carry-on.) I'm debating doing on-line check-in to save more time, that way I can get to the parks faster!!

So another question... (It's Friday, it's storming out which has given me a migraine :( I've kind of checked out of working and I'm dreaming of Disney!) The first night we're there, my brother and I will probably head back to the hotel after Epcot closes. I know there's at least 2 bars on property, right? Since we're only going down for the short trip and this will be our only night of doing this, where do you think we should go for a drink? ETA: And are there any specialty drinks at CSR that I need to try? I drink liquor usually. No red wines, no beer, no regular margaritas (mostly due to my migraines, except the beer, it just plain 'ol makes me sick... :( ) My brother likes Whiskey, red wine, beer, etc. He just turned 21, so I can probably get him to try anything!

On Monday morning before heading to AK, we'll probably stop and have a decent breakfast at the Pepper Market. We're on the QSDP. What do you recommend? (Otherwise I'll just get a Mickey Waffle :lmao:) It's probably the only time we'll be at the Pepper Market short of getting our mugs :)

I'm planning to come back to the hotel to rest (yes, planning to rest...) on Saturday since it's August and hot, etc. We'll probably spend some time by the pool, explore, and NAP for MK EMH :yay: I've been not-so-quietly lurking on the thread since I've booked my trip, so I've seen some things, but is there anything you think is really neat and/or unique about CSR and is not to miss? Anything anyone wants me to be sure to take a picture of? I have 2 batteries for my camera...I get a little snap happy at Disney :rotfl:

Happy Friday ;)

Take advantage of the hammocks! LOL I LOVED them even with baby in tow!

Take pics of Panchitos! I love that little gift shop. We spent ALOT of time in there and most of the time it was just chit chatting with the CM's. They were ALL so friendly and so eager to help find just the right souvies for us! Baby got a complimentary first Mickey stuffed animal!

Congrats at getting your ME tickets! I suppose that I'll be getting mine soon, though my first set will say "Grand Floridian." My departure set will say "Coronado Springs." I'm in a dither over staying at both of these places! :yay:

You'll have fun on ME! They play a little video on what to expect. It got my 11 y/o excited and even I chuckled a little bit!

"Are we there yet? No. Are we there yet? No. Are we there yet? No." You'll know what I'm talking about once you view it! LOL

Ooo, that sounds like it's up my ally. KatMark always posts about the hammocks, but they didn't stick. :lmao: I'm not really a pool girl, but I could totally take my nap in a hammock!!!

With checking my bag, I can shop on the last day and have my "carry-on" be a Disney shopping bag :thumbsup2

From what I understand, you don't get a departure set. It's run totally different. I had to spend some time over on the Transportation board to get that right. If you're flying on one of the participating airlines (JetBlue is one) you can go to the Resort Airline Check-In Service Booth/Kiosk/Not Exactly sure what it is at the CSR and check your bags with them and they'll take them away. If you're not, you can still check-in with them (like if you're flying Southwest and need to get your A) but they can't take your bags. Then over night you'll get something on your door stating when you need to be outside waiting for the ME to take you to your airport. If you haven't checked your bags at the desk, the ME will take your bags and unload them at the airport. Otherwise, just hop-on. ...I think. If I'm confusing you at all, there are some great stickys over on the Transportation Board, they'll clear it up! :thumbsup2

I'm excited to see the video! I've heard that sometimes you get a bus and they don't play the video. I'll be sad if I get one of those!!!

I am encouraging EVERYONE to enjoy "MY" hammock--especially since I won't be there this year.

And don't forget to look for "Glen" and maybe a new sibling or something. ;)

Haha...Glen's the 'gator right? My parents live in FL, I'm used to seeing 'gators everywhere :goodvibes We go out looking for them on the golf cart!!

Thanks for the info on the internet connection! I got a cable that is long enough to reach the bed :).

Only one thing I think of being a problem with your plan to take only your purse on the plane: what happens if they lose your luggage?? :scared1: It's happened on Jet Blue too. I always have at least one day's worth of needed supplies with me (underwear, toothbrush, etc.) just in case!

Have a great trip!

Yeah we took carry on as well since I heard of the resorts sometimes delivering luggage WAY after the 3 hr limit so I packed our swimsuits, 1 set of clothes, and some snacks to snack on theplane. I "rolled" everything real tiny into our carry on so it didn't take up too much space (it was myself and my 5 mo old's stuff which can be alot, dd had her on carry on).

Ask before you get on ME if he (or she) is going to play the video so they know that you're expecting that!
