WOW, VERY NICE!!!!!

Have a great time, how long in the plane??

I have just returned form a week (3/14-3/21) at the CSR. This was my first stay at a mod resort. We decided to try it out since this is a second trip this year and we would only have 4 in a room. I set my expectations low so that I would not be disappointed and was pleasantly surprised. I would also like to thank the many contributors on this thread and other CSR threads and Buzz for his website. All this information made our trip so much easier.

Overall we were happy with our stay and in similar circumstances - secondary trip during peak season - would stay here again. First impressions were good. Beautiful landscaping in full bloom. No wait to check in and friendly staff. I would not stay here without a car though as our experience with buses was NOT a good one. We were ranchos 7b which is not renovated. Room was fine and housekeeping was good. We did feel the room was a little dark, but i was hesitant to open drapes because of privacy. We loved all the parking we were never more than a few steps from our building, and the resort even during a very busy week felt quiet. The theme pool was nice but too small for the crowds in the afternoon. Quiet pool was beside our building so we used it a good bit instead. We liked breakfast at pepper market but were not thrilled with lunch. Maya grill was pretty but food was not good. No resort is perfect but this one had more pros than cons for us.

Took these pics the day we checked out.

Thanks for the report. Sorry you didn't get a new room. I'm glad the pros outweighed the cons. Thank you for the pictures. May I have your permission to copy and paste them into our resort photo thread?

Please do!!!!!

16 more days! We will arrive at CSR around noon. Any suggestions on first drink, and lunch?

As for lunch, depends on what you are doing for dinner. DH and I usually share one of the sub sandwiches at Pepper Market because they are huge! Oh my...as for first drink...that's a toughy. I know Francisco now has his "OWN" drink, but I've yet to try it. My favorite is the pina colada.

I can't say whether 7B will be ready or not. I know that 6A and 6B are now completed and the plan was to then move to Casitas 5. However, all rehab is on hold while they prepare and host the Children's Miracle Network convention. You could always request 7B and if it is not open or not rehabbed, you could ask if you could be moved to a rehabbed room. And, if I hear more prior to July, I will certainly post (or JamesLynn will).

I believe that 7B is slated to go down for refurb in June or July. I can't remember when, but can check tonight at work.

I have a question. We have two rooms (one with 2 queens and one with a king). We would like to be in the Ranchos. Before we fax our request in, does anyone now if there are connecting rooms with our desired room set up in the Ranchos? If not, what would you suggest? Thanks...

Yes, there are. There are rooms with that set up throughout the resort.
Just remember that a request is simply that a request and that we do our best to accomidate you.

Thank you very much. yes, completley understand that WDW will do their best to meet our request. :tinker: To be honest, we will be happy with just about anything.....we will be on vacation at Disney..who could really complain about that? :confused3

Thanks for the reply JamesLynn

Hi all..6 more weeks to go..Does anyone know if a room with 2 queen beds will fit a full size crib? I have a stubborn 15 month old that will not sleep in a pack-n-play so I will need to rent a crib. Thanks

From looking at the pictures of the rooms with the two new queen beds and where the desk and dresser are set up, I think the crib would fit in front of the window.

Thanks for the quick response! I am so excited to stay here again and I did not want to change resorts. My 5 year old loves it there. I must admit we all love it there. We had such a great time on our last visit!

No problem. Here's a picture with the two queen beds. I think if you move the ottomans away from the window, the crib would fit there fine.

I know for certain that if you move the ottomans, that a twin size airmattress will fit there.

JamesLynn, she was actually asking about a crib. But I still think it would fit, don't you?
