CSR sounds so wonderful - I think it will be our moderate WDW resort choice.

Please post all your reviews - we would love to read them (over and over again :rotfl: )

Two questions:

When does CSR make up their decision to have the PM be on the DDP ?We want to be on DDP and then stay at CSR.
If we are going to WDW Easter 2010 - I can make our reservations (now or by summer 2009). I want to do the DDP package.
When can I be sure if the PM will accept DDP for 2010 ?For Easter weeks - WDW resort rooms do fill up fast and I do not want to wait till Dec 2009 and be left without a room at CSR.

Could somebody picture in their minds when you get to CSR - a standard room with the two queen beds and a twin areo bed somewhere on the floor ?
We have teen DS & DD who do not sleep together.
We need to have a twin areo bed in the resort room when we go (or stay in deluxe with the daybed).

Do you think - for those who have beem - or soon to see and report back - if a twin areo bed will fit in a CSR room with the desk and the 2 queen beds ?

Thank you so much !

on several occasions to see what was being done...We walked right up to one of the doors but the men inside working looked at us funny so I didn't take their photographs ;)

But I stepped back and got a few of the rehab being done.

Thats all I got---but 8A looked like it was coming along pretty quickly ;)

Just thought I'd update here with what we saw. Have a great trip too all those headed to CSR in the near future.

So after careful consideration I just switched my reservation to CSR from POR. The POR had their Boatwrights breakfast taken way and their pools closed for renovations.Defeated the purpose for the stay.....Hubby said see what you could do and to my amazement they had room for us ......We will be celebrating my DD's 8th birthday and my little DD's 5th birthday, Double b-days,lol We are arriving March 6 for 5 days and right now after reading thru most of this thread have been pleasantly surprised and Cannot contain my excitement......Its rather overwhelming....The one thing I have noticed is the reviews are Not in Favor of the Pepper Market Place.....But its ok, we'll do with what we can, Just exited I can make this trip special for my 2 girls.....

Pepper Market is hit or miss with most people. We like it, Buzz likes it, others don't. This is the way it is with the resort itself, other resorts, other food courts. I'm sure your kids will love the resort and have a wonderful time. Be sure to ask for birthday buttons when you check-in. And be sure to go to Cafe Rix for some of their tempting goodies. :goodvibes

OK, so everyone knows of my love of the new renovated rooms at CSR but WHAT are these things doing ??? Ours was missing an eye even. They were scarey creatures lol

I've been reading thru and can't seem to find if the Casitas have been completely redone yet?

I thought I had read that all rooms except king rooms were finished in the remodel, but then some say Cabana 8A is under renovations now.

Thanks!

(PS - Buzz, hope your upcoming trip is fantastic!)

No, all of the Castias are not done. The top floor of Casitas 1, 2 and 3 are done (they've not gotten over to 4 or 5 yet). Cabanas 9A and B are done and they are currently working on 8A (I think Cabanas 8B might be done...I'm not positive).

My family stayed in Cabanas 8B from 1/24 through 2/2. We were told by the
CM who checked us in that 8B has been totally renovated.

We'll be at Coronado Springs the day after tomorrow - our first trip staying on-site. (: I was wondering, since we requested Casitas 1-3, what are our chances for scoring a renovated room? I think they're absolutely beautiful.

Buzz, you've done some great work with this thread, keep it up!

Smile when you check in and ask if there is by any chance a renovated room in one of the three Casitas you wish to stay in. All they can do is say no.

Is June a very busy month for conventions at CSR ?
Also what is the busiest time of year for them?

Reading through it all, need a little help. We requested Casitas 5. Is only the 4th floor complete in 5 or are all floors complete except the King rooms?

Buzz and all who are landing at CSR right now - have fun!

None of casita 5 is complete. Only casita 1, 2, and 3 upper floors are done.

Hi,

I haven't read all of the posts, but I have a couple of questions.

Are all of the rooms being refurb with the white bed linens / lighting / wood doors? Or will the different sections have different theming?

Also, I'm considering a late September trip. Is there a chance that the Pepper Market will be under renovation during this time? I ask this because I stayed at CR last August and didn't like all of the construction, etc going on in the main concourse/ counter service section. The photos of CSR look appealing, but I'd be disappointed if I got there and the main dining area was a construction site.

TIA...and Buzz - have a great trip!

Going to the CSR for the first time next month. We like the style of the Casitas and how close Casita 4 and 5 are to the first bus stop. But....we also like the look and idea of a renovated room. Would you stick with our original request of Casitas 4 or 5 or ask for a renovated Casita room in building 3?

Would GREATLY appreciate any and all advice.

THANKS!

:thumbsup2

We're staying here in June, we've only stayed at Deluxe resorts on Disney property so I was a little nervous when we decided to go with a moderate. We weren't planning on going back to Disney so soon, but with the 4/3 deal how could we resist? But I have to say, with Buzz's great site and all the information posted on the boards, I'm really excited about staying here! I think we will love it! I love the different themed areas and the resort looks so pretty. I also like that it's a "convention hotel" which just means it's less crowded for all the things I want to do! And the new rooms look awesome! I'm hoping by June they will be mostly done so my chances will be good for getting a renovated room. We've had amazing luck on all our disney trips (upgraded to Courtyard view at WL, and Savannah view at AKL) so hopefully the pixie dust hasn't run out! Now I just have to decide which area to request!

Do all the CSR rooms have these or just the renovated ones?

THANKS, in advance!
