I'll be back at CSR in about 2 weeks for my second stay.:cool1:

I have two questions. I believe I read somewhere that you can also request a microwave as well? Is this true?

If so, should I include it when I fax my room request?

Also, I was thinking about trying the Maya Grill for the first time. Do they require an ADR? (even though it always seem pretty empty)

Thanks!

You cannot ask for a microwave ahead of time; you must request when you check-in (it is first come, first serve).

I would book an ADR that morning just to be safe. If there is by chance a convention there some of them may be dining there.

Ok, thanks! :)

Sorry to hear about Mousekeeping. I did find the furniture in the room dusty the day we checked in. I wiped down all the counters and the following day I noticed they were dusty again. It dawned on me that the Duvets are down or goose feather so when mousekeeping fixes the bed, the feather dust goes all over the place. Glad you had a great trip though.

I'm extremely disappointed to hear that the new duvet is down! I suffocate under down and absolutely can't sleep! Guess I'll pack my own cotton blanket for our July trip. Think it would be OK and stay in the room and not get mixed up with resort bedding if I wrote in sharpie in big letter on it "Personal Property of XXXX family"?

If you tell them you're allergic to down, I'm guessing they have something to replace it with. Lots of people have down allergies. I'd ask before you go.

I will be doing the same thing! I am extremely allergic to down and cannot imagine spending 5 nights being suffocated by a down duvet!

Okay my family and I leave tomorrow. I never faxed in a request, however when I booked CSR over the phone I already told them my requests. My question is , was that good enough or should I have faxes a request as well?

 We finally leave in less then 24 hrs :woohoo:

i'm planning to go to Disney in august.
I read that there still a hundred rooms with double beds and having 2 teenagers these aren't big enough.
Can you be sure you will get the rooms with the queen beds or is there a possibility you a get an old room with double beds ?
Otherwise we would have to go Deluxe ( BeachClub ?).

I remember reading that those 100 rooms will King Bed rooms or something like that.

From the opening post:

All buildings in every village now have queen beds. The only rooms left with full size beds are the 100 rooms that will be converted to king size beds. These rooms are scattered throughout the resort. Cabana 9b (Club Level rooms) has reopened and pictures of the redone rooms are filtering in. The room rehab has also begun in the casita section. Casita 1, 2 & 3, 4th floor are done as are some rooms in Cabana 9a. Work is on hold until after the holidays.

I always take my own blanket and pillows (no matter where we stay) and each morning i fold the blanket and put it and the pillows on top of my suitcase...have never had a problem:thumbsup2

The only place, you could run across getting a room with 2 doubles would be in Casitas 1, 2, 3, or 5. It's down to about 50 rooms having the doubles.
Everywhere else, the queen conversion has happened.

Also, as I was out delivering my XCOs and DMEs, I happened by a window of a DISer! It was very cool looking!

It's not a bad idea too.
It gives us in the backoffice, another way to search for your reservation.

Hi, JamesLynn. That visit with the folks is coming up soon! :cool1:

How far are they in Casitas 4? Any idea when they'll start the next building?

JamesLynn, I faxed my request early this afternoon. Now go look for it, my family and I check into tomorrow:rotfl2:

Just Kidding of course;)

Thanks for the help..

Hello,

Does anyone know if the Panchito's gift shop at CSR sell the disney character autograph books?

I haven't had luck on a before trip purchase and I'd like to have them in my bag before we enter the gates to any park.

Thanks, Moe

I do recall seeing them there this past September. If they don't have them, there are gift shops "outside" of all the parks before you enter and I know they usually have them too.
