Hi, Crystal. I am pretty sure the spot is right near the quiet pool by Casitas 4. If you are walking from El Centro towards the Casitas, before you would take a slight curve off the path to go to the quiet pool, there is an area with benches by the lake and this is the spot where she took the picture. So when you get to the part where you would veer off the path that goes around the entire resort, instead of veering off, turn and look right at the Lake and you should see the spot. I hope I explained this well. If not, let me know and I'll try again.

Thank you! You did a great job of explaining where it is!I knew that I could count on you:hug:. I think your new user name should be Ms. CSR!!

i just returned this weekend from my 2nd stay at CSR 3/20-3/27 with friends. everything was great, i'm so glad we made the decision to stay there again. i had requested a room in the cabanas because we REALLY wanted a renovated room, partly because we loved the look of them and also because with 4 adults we wanted to be certain we'd have the queen beds. i was thrilled at check-in when i saw we'd been placed in cabanas 9A :yay:. we were in room 9102, right next to the cabanas quiet pool which turned out to be even quieter than i expected.

i had checked us in online the day before we left and everything went very smoothly once we got there. we had a late flight in and were first off of ME so no one was in line when we arrived so we didn't even have to use the special online check-in line. i don't know if it saved us any time or not but i can see how it would be convenient during the busier times of day. we ordered food from garden grocer so we ate breakfast in the room and the other two meals in the parks so i can't comment on PM.

the busses were excellent! our room was about equal distance from stops 4 and 1 but we got on at 4 most days because it was less crowded. we almost always had a place to sit except for one or two days right before park opening when we had to stand. going to the parks we had awesome luck and waited on average 5 minutes (most times it was less, no lie) except for one ride to downtown where we waited for half an hour then two buses showed up right in a row :confused3. getting back to the resort at night was easy too, never a long wait, but we usually did take our time leaving the park if it was right after illuminations or fantasmic or something.

we did have two very tiny almost not worth mentioning complaints. one day we came back from the park to find our tv didn't work when upon inspection we found out one of the cords had become unplugged. random, but we fixed it ourselves. another night a friend and i went off to find a soda machine for some drinks. the machine had major issues accepting any and all dollar bills we had. we tried 2 different machines. one finally took 1 dollar but no others and we didn't have enough change so we pushed the button to get change back from the machine and it was out of quarters so we got nothing. we had to walk all the way over to el centro and explain the situation and they refunded our money and then also exchanged all of our bills for quarters. so i'd advise anyone using the vending machines to use change!

we had a great stay. the new rooms are absolutely gorgeous and i was glad it was big enough to comfortably fit 4 20-something kids. the cast members we encountered were friendly and our mousekeeper was great. the resort grounds were beautiful and i love how after a day at the parks surrounded by people you can come back to CSR and despite the ginormous size, see next to no-one. it's very relaxing. although when i go with my family we usually stay at one of the deluxe resorts, i wouldn't hesitate to recommend CSR for a more budget-friendly alternative. :goodvibes

Here is the site for the massage..... given to me by Kathy.

My wife had an hour massage when we were at CSR the first week of March. She loved it and said she almost fell asleep during it (a sure sign she was enjoying it!!)

Enjoy your trip!!:goodvibes

Wow thanx so much.for the quick response - can i ask how far in advance you made the reservation?

i'm thinking either a late day massage - after the park about 6p

or an early morning....

decisions decisions lol

I usually call about 2 or 3 weeks beforehand because I pretty much know our schedule. I usually do it on our "resort" day...when we go to breakfast at one of the resorts and then come back and hang by the pool. I usually go around 10:30 for the massage and then relax and read my book in the shade for awhile and then go swimming after a shower. I'm so refreshed when we go to one of the parks that night.

Actually i see the spa is also at Animal Kingdom - my husband and I were planning to eat at BOMA and put the kids in the play center at the hotel so now i'm thinking... put the kids in the play area, we can both go for a massage and then go for dinner??? they might work out best!

You could do that too. However, in my own case, I am rather "drowsy" after a massage and not sure I'd want to go to dinner being that "relaxed" plus full of oil. But you could do it if you wanted to.

Kateydid (or anyone who knows),

Just a quick question. How did you like using garden grocer? Were you there for delivery or did CSR hold it for you? Ok, I guess that was 2 questions. :)
Thanks! ~ Melissa

I have used GG at other resorts & have always had a great experience with them. For our recent stay here I tried Wegoshop & was very pleased as well. The only thing is they were not able to deliver to our room, we had to meet the person up front & then bell services brought us & our groceries back to our room. The person delivering said they were not allowed to deliver to rooms at CSR, not sure if this would be the same with GG but I am thinking so. :confused3

planning on bringing coffee to make in the room, can i take "creamer" and "sugar" from the food court?

lisa

Casitas 4 and 5 are closest to the bus stop. If you choose Casitas 2 or 3 you are in the middle of Bus Stop 2 (the first one to be picked up--which is near Casitas 4 and 5) or Bus Stop 4 which is the main building and the last one to be picked up before heading to the parks.

We don't use the buses so I can't tell you whether or not she'd have to stand if she got on at Bus Stop 4. I know that I've read where a lot of people have indicated they have never had to stand on the way to the parks from that stop...but then I don't know what time of day they are talking about.

Thank you!
