Ok, these are all new to me. When would you use brads vs snaps vs eyelets? I just bought some eyelets and snaps. I have the tools for the eyelets, but have no idea how these snaps work. Can someone please explain this to me and also for what you use which item? Thanks!

snaps and eyelets are the same thing except there is no hole in a snap. I don't use snaps because it is easier to use a brad and the effect is the same.

Eyelets and brads are both used when you want to attach things together, and eyelets are useful when you want a hole like in a tag, or to thread some fibers through.

I prefer brads as you don't need a tool and you can use them silently, but sometimes you need the eyelet because you need the hole.

To set the snap, it is the same as an eyelet on the back, punch a hole, put the snap though, then set it with your setter.

Eyelets are relatively flat when used. Are brads also? I really like the ones without holes but don't like the raised pieces on my pages.

I have some brads that are relatively flat and others that are more like eyelets..

I use all three (and realized how many I did have yesterday when my eyelet box fell over...) but I dont use snaps as much because I just dont like the look as much...

I just finished a whole scrapbook that had brads on every page. I did all my journaling and titles on vellum and attached them with brads. I tried to limit how many I used so it was a big book of brads. The continuity is nice and they are super easy to use especially for a newbie like me. Mine were pretty flat.
