He's on The View and he came on with his hat off. So many of these guys wander around indoors with their hats on. Glad to see him show respect. Don't know much about his music. He seems very nice and down to earth.

I think that he is a nice guy. He comes across that way no matter what he does.

Him removing his hat is interesting. Some of the country singers are pretty much glued to their hats so I'm a little surprised.

I think he's one of the nicest guys in country music. :)

He seems like a very fun person and I love his music. Not watching the View today though, giving the tv a break.

I honestly could care less about someone's hat being on or off, I'm not offended in any way by a hat. It's a hat....just a hat...and I don't see the drama it causes to be on a man's head inside. :confused3 Now, if it's in front of me at the movies we have a problem, but other than that, I don't care.

I find it amusing that all country singers wear cowboy hats...as if they just came in from rustling cattle...

My cousins, aunt and uncle attended his party when his song Waiting on a Woman was #1 on the charts. They all said that he was very nice, one of the nicest people they'd ever met.

He seems very nice and down to earth, I really could care less about that hat thing,

This!

I don't think it would be humanly possible for me to care less about people wearing hats or not. I find it odd that anyone would care. I just have better things to worry about. Just like I don't care if people leave it on during the national anthem and also don't give a hoot whether people put their hand over their heart. Whatevs!

He does seem like a nice genuine person though.

The hat thing, it's common courtesy and I read on these boards everyday, people complaining about kids not learning right from wrong, morals, work ethic and so forth. Men wearing a hat in a building other than the hardware store type of place or in a performance, is improper ettiquette and a sign of lack of instruction on being a gentleman. All the men I know take their hats off. Just like we complain about young women dressing like hussies(or worse words), the hat thing...boys should be taught to take their hats off and call their elders Ms. Jones and Mr. Jones unless given permission otherwise. There are lots of other things they should know too. My mother was a lady. When she died, every single person who attended her memorial said, 'your mother always acted like a lady or with poise.' Why not wish that for ourselves and the men in our lives? Not such a bad legacy, eh?

Whenever I think of the celebrity I would MOST be surprised to hear they are nothing like what they portray it would be Brad Paisley. It truly, honestly seems as if he is who he is, 100% true to the persona he gives. If I ever heard he was in a scandal of some sort I would be floored. I think he was just giving respect by taking off his hat, he is a class act.

I think he did a parody video a few years back about being a stuck up celebrity asking for all of these special nonsensical things (like a tour rider sort of thing)

The hat thing....I guess my son doesn't have proper manners because he wears a baseball cap a lot, and doesn't usually take it off. But he's grown, and makes his own decisions about his behavior, etc.

Calling adults Mr. or Mrs. IMO, seems a bit formal. Unless it's a teacher, or someone like that. I don't necessarily think a child calling an adult by their first name is disrespectful. I think it all depends on the situation. I've had friends who my kids knew very well, and called them by their first name. Unless it's an aunt or uncle, and then they would address them as aunt so-and-so, or uncle so-and-so.

I'm sure he is a great guy, but I don't get worked up over hats. If a guy takes his hat off as a sign of respect, that is wonderful. However, I don't find those who leave hats on disrespectful.

I did know Brad Paisley is one heck of a picker and now I know he is a nice guy with manners.

The hat thing has always been a pet peeve of mine. It's proper manners for a man to take his hat off inside, but then manners don't seem to be much of a part of society these days. The hats on backwards is just another stupid thing that some guys think is cool, unless, of course, they are catchers and need to accommodate a catcher's mask. Otherwise they are just idiots, in my opinion, of course. :rolleyes1

I really like the whole southern gentleman thing some guys have going on, it always makes me smile :goodvibes

You could have counted me as a fan before, now it's just highlighted.

I like him, he seems like a down to earth, nice guy. His wife is drop dead gorgeous.

I care very much about morals and manners. I care about etiquette when it actually impeeds someone else. However whether someone is wearing a hat or not does not harm me or mess with my happiness in any way. We all have our different things that bother us. Hat etiquette just isn't something I care about.

The hats are usually to help with glare on stage (or to help cover bald spots...lol)...whether it's on a stage performing, or in a tv studio. Those lights are BRUTAL. They're also so much a part of an artist's "image" that some people don't recognize them without the hats.

No word of a lie, there will probably be all kinds of mail to the studio, complaining that he didn't "look like Brad Paisley" b/c he took his hat off...:confused3

Well, if they complain about that then need to see a few of his videos. He is not glued to his hat and I can recall scenes from videos without him in the hat. "Celebrity" is 1 of them. Boy did that 1 turn me on to William Shatner. Never liked him before that video.

I love Brad. The more I read about him the better he gets. And I'm with the pp who said they'd be floored if he was ever in a scandal. You'd be scraping me off of it.
