So alright...I've got this friend{or he was my friend} and I guess you could say we liked each other{as more than friends...well, that's how it seemed.} I talked to him in the afternoon yesterday and everything was fine between us. I talked to him later that night, and he had a girlfriend. So, I'm a little annoyed because I know we weren't officially dating, or anything like that, but I asked him...like the day before, if the chance came up if he'd date someone, or say no...and he said say no. And now, a few days later, I basically find out everything he ever said to me was a lie{him caring about me, etc.} Am I right to find him a total jerk and at his "I want to be friends" tell him no?


I was wicked ticked off last night, but now I'm pretty much over it...I figure he's not worth getting all upset over, right? But I just wanna know...I'm not over reacting am I, finding him a jerk and not really wanting to talk to him?

You have every right to be angry! A guy did that to me last year and I didn't find out til 5 months later about it....I was P.O-ed at him all summer and the only time we talked was when we were yelling at eachother! So definately NOT! Be mad at him!

im glad that you are ok now. but what i hate right now is that i like this really great guy and my ex found out that i like somoene, and now he is flipping out, cuz he doesnt know.(everyone told me not to tell him) sure he breaks up with me cuz he was "presured" and now he likes me.AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, time for a GUY'S opinion:

You did overeact. Let me tell you why. As you said, you were never dating, so you aren't "attatched" to him, he has no responibility to be loyal to you as a bf, just as a friend. When you asked him about that, the "no" has many attatchments. The "no" could of came because he wasn't excpecting to land his new gf, the "no" could of been a gentle lie to keep you happy, because he probably knows you like him, in which case be happy, because he doesn't want to outright hurt you. As I always say, these things are 95% of the time very shortlived, so why worry? Don't burn any bridges. He might just come around one day. Even if not in a bf sort of way, it's always nice to have friends of the opposite sex.

All guys aren't evil monsters, you just have to keep your eyes open. Someone great can be right there, but another may be blocking your vision of them.
