I just called WDW dining - 1/31/06, 10 AM

They have a memo which says.....
"H&V open for lunch on March 25, 2006".

You can not make an ADR as of yet. I was told at the end of Feb 2006, they will be able to start taking ADR's.

The Dining CM's do not have any information about characters or the price of lunch, so they can not take any ADR's at this time.

So on Feb 28th - get ready for H&V ADR , my guess... Hero Lunch

That's what I thought too, but everything that has been reported are just rumors, so you never really know until something is announced officially. I guess we'll just have to wait and see!

Do the cm's honestly know nothing about this or do they just have to say that until the information is released. This is just my curiousity, I know that I would have such a hard time keeping this quiet if I knew something.

Actually the staff manning the phones is probably telling the truth.

They only know what they read on their computer or in a staff memo. If nothing official has been released then they would not know about it.

Unlike all of us, this is Just A Job to them, they don't live and breath it.

Also the news of something like this would be from Food and Beverage and management at MGM. This is a huge company and many of the people answering the phones are not even in Florida, so yes it is very possible for them to know nothing or have had heard nothing.

So this may be a LUNCH instead of a BREAKFAST? That would be fine with me, I would prefer lunch (we have breakfast in our room before we go to the parks).

I hope I can get this for my DN's birthday! He will be so excited!

I was the 10 am call on 1/31/06.

The CM told me lunch starts 3/25/06 per his memo at H&V. That is all he knew. I asked if I could still make an ADR - and he said - without prices, it is not listed in the computer system yet. They only got a paper memo.

He said for me to call back at the end of Feb - about 30 days before March 25 - so would that be maybe Feb 25th ?
I guess new meal ADR's are released at the 30 day mark from date of opening.

We will drop our PT lunch for a Hero H&V lunch in June.
We would do Breakfast too - but I was only told lunch.

I have resevations for Hollywood and Vine for dinner on June 2 ...
One post said that they would not be taking ADR's untill the end of Feb. for this new thing ... does that mean if I want to do this Hero thing I need to call back after Feb. and change from dinner to lunch or breakfast and can I still keep my fantasmic package too ...

You will not be able to do the Fantasmic package if you change from dinner to lunch. Dinner is the only meal that is part of the Fantasmic Package.

So if you want to do the Hero lunch, you'll have to call after February to book it and then either cancel the dinner or do both if you still want the Fantasmic package.

H&V used to have Minnie and friends for breakfast and lunch and dinner was always part of the Fantasmic package, but not lunch or breakfast.

I so hope its a lunch. We have all our breakfasts planned already. But I hate the counter service in MGM so we were going to do 50's prime time but I'd rather have lunch with Buzz and company. If its a breakfast we are sticking with 50's. Fingers crossed.

What happens if you already have an ADR for lunch at this restaurant? Or does it not do lunch now? I figure if you already had one, and they make it a character event, well, you'd already be there right? Can't we just make ADRs now?

H&V does not currently serve lunch, therefore you can't make an AR for it yet.

(I would have made AR's for breakfast, lunch and dinner by now if they did )

Nope, H&V doesn't do a lunch right now. And I'm also NOT so patiently waiting til I can make my ADR!

I thought that must be the case, or else as you say, everyone would've made their ADRs and this would be a non-issue! Well, I sure hope I can be among the first to get in for early June. Nothing to do but wait for "sources"!

I called this morning at 9am CST and they still have no information about it. The lady put me on hold so I was hoping that I might find something out...but of course NOTHING!

I called them again here thinking that maybe I could get a lunch time at H&V and be able to "slip" into the meal that way and the only meal there right now is the Fantasmic package...so no luck!

I guess patience is the key here...something I was NOT blessed with!

Just back ...with update!
We just got back Monday and a CM at Donald's Breakfastsaurus told us that it starts April 2nd for Breakfast at H & V. The characters will be Woody, Buzz, Sarge, Mr and Mrs Incredible.

Can't wait!
