Boys aren't into characters...which parade?

My three boys aren't really into any of the characters so which parade would you say they might enjoy the most? I dont' want to waste time on the 3 o'clock in MK if we could be on rides with little or no lines (but I will see it if you all say it is a must). What about the Spectro? I do plan on staying for Wishes at least one night though--they will love fireworks!

Spectromagic parade is very nice, all of the parade floats have lights on them, so it makes it extra special. If your sitting on Main street they turn the lights out to provide a more enjoyable viewing of the floats. Even though they don't like the Characters, I believe they would enjoy this parade.

If you're ANYWHERE along the parade route they turn the lights out.
Disney is very exacting about putting on a "good show" no matter where you happen to be along the route.

Its amazing that for IllimiNations at Epcot, the spectacular exterior lighting on the massive Swan and Dolphin hotels (about a half-mile away from Epcot property) are turned OFF from just before IllimiNations begins until after its conclusion.

YES! Do Spectro if you can! Take advantage of the daytime parade times to get on the good rides with less wait. Spectro is my family's favorite

I would agree with Spectromagic. Even if they aren't into the characters, they likely will be impressed by all the lights. My DS, 6 almost 7, could care less about meeting the characters, but he really likes Spectro.

And if you don't want to wait forever, get a spot in Liberty Square or Frontierland. We have always been able to find a spot on the street a half hour or less before the parade.

Just one question -- I think your ticker says this is your first time to Disney. How do you know your boys won't be interested in the characters? My children who are similiar in age to yours loved every character interaction they had on their trip. And they loved seeing different characters in the parade. You just might be surprised!
