Boys aren't allowed to wear tight pants in school?

In our school alot of girls wear tights with a long shirt with no shorts so one of my friends did it only it was an underarmor pair of pants with a baggy shirt and he didnt even make it through first period. And the funny thing was when the teacher was yelling at him in the hall a girl walked by with the same thing on and did not get yelled at; it was hilarious anyway.

I don't quite get the we can't wear sweatpants which are pants, but we can wear leggings, which people try to wear as pants.. but totally aren't. They're sometimes see through and cause camel toes.

We can get away with under armor here, when we were told we couldn't wear sweats the guys revolted by wearing under armor and spandex. Body suits even.

we are allowed to wear them at my high school girls and boys...cause our school is chill..idk but my friend sitting here says it is discrimination. just cause they are boys dosnt mean the school can dress them. at least they dont have there butt hanging out of there pants. and i have yet to "see" anything cause the pants are tight.

im not. i went shopping with a guy friend and he tried on a pair. we then decided that the next size up would be a little more appropriate.

My state (or region, I cant remember) is actually trying to pass a law that would make baggy pants illegal. First offense would be $200 fine, and any repeat offense would be $100 plus a couple hours community service.

I think thats ridiculous. Schools have the authority to make dress codes. But we shouldnt have our dress regulated outside of school. Experts think the law wont pass, but still.

Im interested in how they would regulate that. HOW would they say weather "this guy" has baggier pants then "that guy" and such?

Anyway on topic. Im not sure of how skinny, skinny pants have gotten since I was in highschool, but it does seem a bit rediculous. I havnt seen anything that would be TOO permiscuous about skinny pants. I guess it all depends on the school. Personally I dont see how ANY guy could wear pants that would be too skinny to be a problem...is that even comfortable? Gah sounds painfull/awkward.

Baggy pants are a gang thing so this does make some sense.

Apparently if boxers are showing, its "too baggy."

Well yeah....but getting rid of the pants isnt going to get rid of the gangs.

We wear uniform for school >.<

But when we have non-uniform days, at least half (maybe more) of the guys wear skinny jeans. I have a guy friend and he dresses in nothing but skinny jeans and I just don't know what he would do without skinny jeans.

even though i don't mind guys wearing tight pants I can understand this rule. Sometimes you can see more then you wanted if the pants are super tight. And I really dont wanna be seeing that walking to class.

But getting seriously in trouble for it is kinda lame. I guess if you broke the rule to many times then it would be okay but other then that you should get off with a warning and a change of clothes

yeah.

this is why we have uniforms in australia.
at my school, any signs of 'creativity' such as bracelets, necklaces, un-shined shoes, anything higher than a knee length dress hem or (god forbid) not wearing your hat is given an immediate D3 (3rd grade detention, friday 3:30 - 4:30 for middle and 4:30 - 5:30 for senior)

Personally i think it's stupid but, whatever.
i guess the school does have a right to do that though.
my school has "Standardized dress" and the guys get away with wearing tight pants.
a number of my guy friends wear them like everyday.
i don't see a problem with it at all.
i like guys who wear tight pants xD.
