Boyfriend Problems- please help!

Ok well as some of you know, last night was the second night of my play, and we had a cast party. So theres this guy, and im really good friends with him- he's awesome... but my friend asked me like if I liked him in any way shape or form becuase he liked me... So I said I didn't know and then she goes to him and tells him I do like him, and it was all really rushed... and then he asked me out and I said yes. And we have never been awkward before, we were like really good friends, and now it's really awkward. I think I rushed into it, aand I want to break up with him, but I don't because then we'd both be miserable, but I'm already miserable, and I don't want to hurt him, and I want to stay friends, but it's so awkward, and I know it won't be the same... we've got another play and cast party tonite, and I'm afraid it's still gonna be so awkward. And this is my first boyfriend... Please help!!

I think you should just give it some time.
After a few days, things should go back to normal between you.

It feels awkward now, but it might not after you've had a date or two. My first date with my first boyfriend was torture! It was the most awkward thing ever as we were both good mates.

We've now been together 3 years, with no end in sight!

So let it progress, if it still feels awkward after a few dates, then maybe suggest sticking as friends.

I usualy give atleast three day b4 i even think about breaking up with someone and usualy by the fifth day i have the answer.

yeah, you did rush into it, but now that you're into it you might as well give it a chance.
you guys are gonna need some time to get to know each other and become comfortable around one another.
i was 'seeing' my current boyfriend for about a month before we started going out and that worked alot better than just going out without getting to know each other and learning each others boundaries and comfort zones.
but since you guys kinda skipped that step, you'll kinda just have to give it a shot and make up for that lost time.

It'll probably be awkward at the begninning, new relationships always are, but if you don't give it a chance, you could be missing out on what could be a great relationship.

I'm kind of surprised that everyone is telling you to stay with him. If you don't like him that much, and you just want to be friends with him, break up with him. Tell him something like this :

I care about our friendship and I think we kind of rushed into this relationship. I was wondering if, for now, we could just be friends.

If he is as good a friend as you say he is, he will understand. You should'nt be with someone you don't want to be with. If you stay with him because your afraid of hurting him, you are just going to hurt him more when he finds out you don't really care about him that way.

I would just give it a chance. A lot of times things are awkward at first, but it'll get better. Usually in MS, things don't really go past being friends and hanging out like you did before, so it mighnt not be too weird. Chances are, if it was rushed, he feels the same way, and once you guys kinda collect yourselves and figure stuff out, it'll be a lot of fun. ANd if things don't work out, just explain to him how you feel, and if he's really worth it, he'll understand.
