Boy Names for Corey/Julie

Yes, keeping the name a secret is a good idea. I wasn't able to keep my DS8's a secret bc I have a big mouth, and then on the 5th day in the hospital, we changed it. My mom was SO MAD! SHe had already ordered something with the first name on it. Oopsie! It has made for an interesting story for my son to tell all his friends. He was Cavan for 4 days, but now he's Collin! Boys names are harder, I think.

That is a good plan, Julie. :thumbsup2 Torture them all you want! ;) I made the mistake of telling everyone My 2nd was going to be Colton and I got some negative feed back on it. So much that I was doubting it myself up until he was born. We were actually asking the nurses, what was better Colton or Dylan (our second choice). In the end we went with Colton which I had loved all along, and I have never regretted it. It fits him perfectly!

hiya Katie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
long time no see...

only 9 months to the cruise :woohoo: :woohoo:

as for baby names.....mine were sort of easy....DD and DS are named after relatives....only thing, i made sure both had middle names - just in case...
since i HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE my name, but didn't have a middle name alternative, i wanted DD and DS to at least have the choice of two each..

by the way, have i mentioned how much i HATE my name???

I've never posted in the Podcat section before, but my sister just had twin boys and named them Christopher Joseph (her DH and her one grandfather who passed away a week before the births) and Gabriel Michael (my mom had a dream of calling a little boy Gabriel, and Michael was my mom's dad and her other grandfather).

If they were going to be boy/girl twins, Taylor could name them - Denise and Denephew. ;)

Another vote for keep the name to yourself (as if you needed our approval!)

My only naming advice is to make sure the name is not so out there that you can't find it on one of those little license plates kid's get for their bikes--I always felt bad for the kids with the funky spelled names!

Secondly, do the president test. Practice saying "ladies and gentlemen, the president of the united states, Kandy Kane." See, how that will never fly?

I like the president test idea. Personally, I like to name my kids very long names so when I whip out the big formal name they know they are in trouble. My poor DS4 refused to answer at the peds when the nurse read his full name off the chart to call him from the waiting room. He looked around and said, "What did I do?" :rotfl2:

When I was expecting, my boy name was Cooper. I have two girls and this baby factory is closed. So.....Cooper is still up for grabs.;)

I just wanted to add that I went to school with a Dick Seaman. I am almost embarrassed to type that to all of you! Poor guy. You know it was the husband who said, "Hey honey, let's name him Richard!":rotfl2:

I remember his cousin was a cheerleader briefly at our school and she thought that worms fell from the sky when it rained.:scared1:

Wow ....lemme think
A boy's name for Corey/Juile

Corey shall be called Tim the Enchantor
<rabbit stew tonite>:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

and Julie should be Butch G.:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Has this thread been eating mushrooms?!?

Since we've gone off the deep end, how about "Myheads" or "Mylegs?" [As in "Boy, my leg's smartin'."]

My DH is a big NBA basketball fan and used to be a huge Chicago Bulls fan. We always joked that we needed to have a boy and a girl and name them.... Michael and Jordan. That way whenever we'd have to call them in for dinner he'd get to say "Michael... Jordan... time to come in." :rolleyes1 We didn't go with Michael and luckily had two boys so no girl names to fool with.

We watched the movie 'Gladiator' when I was preggo and almost named our oldest Maximus. My MIL was sooo scared that we would, lol. Then we toyed with her some more making out words with the initials. :) So after we told her that and she flipped out we kept the name secret that we finally decided on for a few months.

It's a no-brainer.........

DEAN MARTIN!!!!!

(When the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie......That's Amore!!!!)

He could start his own Brat Pack!

Did I miss it or is it true.... no one suggested ....

KIM!

I had a book when I was little and it was about a boy named Kim and his kittens.

Thanks Cocowum. I began to start feeling like my old (emphasis on old) self late last week. I have just a teeny bit of catching up to do. ;) :scared1:

JULIE, DON'T TELL ANYONE THE NAME (except me, of course) AHEAD OF TIME. My sister talked me out of the name I had picked out for my daughter and I regret it since.

I agree....for my last DS I thought I was set on the name Colin (good Irish name)...then EVERYONE started calling him Colin MONTHS before he was born. (It was "baby Colin" this and "baby Colin" that) I got sooooo sick and tired of hearing it (probably the hormones...LOL!:scared1: ) I ended up going with a completely different name!
