Boy Names for Corey/Julie

we are keeping it a secret until he is born. Not even our parents or closest friends know what he will be called and it is driving some of them absolutely nuts! Oh, how I love to torture people!

Okay, so just tell us and we will make sure not to spill the beans to your families and close friends!;)

If Candy isn't somewhere wearing clear heels and dancing on a pole, there is no justice in this world.

Wasn't there a... nope, not family friendly... umm... person with the profession of being very close with a pole (not a gymnast!) named Candy Kane in Frasier where Daphne thought she was the baby's nanny-to-be? Oh dear... there just isn't any justice in the world is there?!

First I have to say, this is a hilarious thread! I have enjoyed reading it.

Calypso, you are right Corey and I had a boy's name picked out almost as soon as we knew we were expecting. However, we are keeping it a secret until he is born. Not even our parents or closest friends know what he will be called and it is driving some of them absolutely nuts! Oh, how I love to torture people!

That is a good plan, Julie. :thumbsup2 Torture them all you want! ;) I made the mistake of telling everyone My 2nd was going to be Colton and I got some negative feed back on it. So much that I was doubting it myself up until he was born. We were actually asking the nurses, what was better Colton or Dylan (our second choice). In the end we went with Colton which I had loved all along, and I have never regretted it. It fits him perfectly!

Here are my favs:

Matthew
David
Daniel
Mark

As you can see by my sig I never did need any of the girl names we picked out!! I agree to think like a mean child and analyze any name you do pick - if there is a way to make fun of something you can be sure the kids will find it!! I had really liked the name Sara Grace (still do and don't want to offend anyone with that name), but as I ran it through my brain a million times it started to sound like "sour grapes"!!

My Bro and SIL did the exact same thing. They knew it was a boy. They kept telling anyone who asked his name was going to be Buck Shot. Yes, first and middle name. My SIL's parent were upset that the kid would never be baptized since neither were traditional Catholic names and the priest would not baptize you unless at least one of your name's was that of a saint. This went on for about 5 months till Nicholas Edward arrived. Everyone was happy!

as long as you haven't let your podcast fame go to your head you'll have picked a great apt name.
Some examples of bad celebs baby names from the uk include Jordan (from listening to old podcasts I know Julie watched Jordan and Peter) who called her little girl Princess! She also called her son Harvey, which seems ok, but figure in her surname being Price - Harv Price!!

:goodvibes

My sister did this too. Since we already knew what she was having (a girl) she wouldn't tell anyone what her name would be.

That way something was a surprise to everyone.

My favorite "boy name" has always been Wesley. Wes for short. Sounds strong, humble, intelligent, and thoughtful.

I say anything is good as long as it's nothing like what the celebs do

please no

Apple
coco
or the worst I've heard

MAJESTY!!!!! (this wis a boy);)

Hey, what's wrong with Coco? :lmao: :lmao: That's my fav name, That or Lola. :teeth:

Hmmmm, when DH and I were young marrieds (about a century ago it seems) we always said (and seriously too) we would name our first son Elvis. Honestly, a kid named elvis is gonna be cool...he's gonna be a rocker and have a caddy with fins, and a hog...he's gonna date starlets with abandon and have cool hair (or maybe he's gonna be a figure skater NOT THAT THERE'S ANYTHING WRONG WITH THAT!!!).

We chickened out...DS are Judd and Noah:confused3

You've been watching WAAAAY too much Princess Bride!

Okay, maybe that's me....

Julie and CorEy - I think you should keep it a secret.. Both my boys names were picked out within minutes of them being born, within an hour both had the names changed to suit them better... Not telling anyone helps with this problem..

Besides, everything else with this pregnancy is public, well almost :goodvibes you deserve to have something to just yourselves.

I know you have your name picked out, but I have to say there are going to be a ton of Ethans, Owens, Evans,Parkers, Taylors,(B/G), all kinds of different forms of Bradan, Brady, Brandon, spelled many different ways when your child is ready for school. Just look at any grade school year book. Maybe you have a niece or nephew that has one. All the names go in streaks. One time it was Alex. I do daycare and I had girl Alex, boy Alex and baby Alex!! My daughter named their son Cohyn. Have now heard it alot. Her daughter was born in June and she named her Harper Rose and then one of the Dixie chicks named their daughter Harper Rosie. You can never win. Good Luck.:rotfl2:

Vanessa is due in December with a son, we are going to name him Ian O'Neal.

I like Sean though, but I like keeping names familial.

Joshua is way good too :goodvibes
