I'm sitting here typing in my great room in front of the window. As I look out across the lake, it's still fully pitch black except for the neighbor's lights reflecting off the water. As much as I adore DST these first few mornings are the pits!

I hate it being so dark, too. I don't like sending my DS to the bus when it's so dark out. The extra daylight last night sure was nice, though! :)

Oh, don't get me wrong, we love it, it's just these first few mornings are rough. We have become accustomed to having the switch during our Spring Break week, giving us a week to acclimate, not have it sprung on us like this. :rotfl: Of course the fact that dumb me forgot to turn on the alarm didn't help. Thank heavens I heard the grandfather clock gong in the foyer!

I'll be a crybaby. Why did we have to change it so early? If we would have waited the month we would be waking to some sun too. I am using more electricity this way- all my family is home in the morning getting ready - now we have all the lights on in everyroom. Mentioning that because I thought that was the reason behind this new month change......And I didn't notice the extra light at night last night- (we are all in one room eating dinner so the extra light was nice I guess but sure didn't save any electricity. whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa:guilty:

COncidering it's currently 8:05 and older DD is still trying to get her clothes on.....yep, it's not gonna be pretty today. :rotfl: I hate to see those middle school girls in their natural state!

What a beautiful view you must have if you look out over a lake!

It is pretty great! Right now the sun is up, there's the reflection of the trees on the water, ducks and Canadian Geese swimming and deer and squirrels rummaging in the leaves on the lawn toward the water. I never want to move from here!

We overslept! I have an alarm clock that projects the time on to the ceiling. I changed the time on the clock, but the projection time needs to be set separately, and I forgot. I was lying in bed thinking how bright it looked outside this morning. I told DH it was time to get up. He asked why his clock said 6:54 and mine said 5:54. Oops! It was a md dash, the kids missed the bus, but we still all made it to where we had to go on time.
