Just wanted to say that I took some of these to WalMart on a cd and had prints made. I was disappointed that some of the edges were cut off and the people at the counter gave me a bit of a hard time because the Disney stuff is copyrighted. OOPS!!

So my advice is to print them at home instead. It was worth a try!

Someone else asked the question and if you take a sharpie, that won't smear. however, some of the characters stamp the picture, and that smears. Also, unfortunately, sometimes (I don't know why) the frame doesn't size up right and you have to size it before printing?

I couldn't decide how I was going to make my books, eiether. Should I print them at walmart and put them in a photo album, mount them in a journal type book, have them printed in a flip book, etc. I was also worried about the cost of ink, etc. if printing them at home. I finally decided to take black cardstock and have it cut and bound at kinkos and then have the pictures printed and mount them. Well, I got the book made at Kinkos and was about to order my prints when I just decided to print 1 or 2 at home to see what they would look like. Now, I printed it on cardstock that I had from scrapbooking, not on photo paper ...

Well, long story short, I ended up printing ALL of them at home and then taking the pages to Kinkos and had them cut and bound and had a clear plastic cover put on and a black plastic one on the back. Here's why -- it ended up being cheaper for me.

Costs:

$5.99 for 150 page package of white cardstock, I could get 2 autograph pages per print page.
$18.00 for a fresh color ink cartridge (used just about all of it!)
$12.00 at Kinkos for 5 cuts and 2 bindings for 2 books with 50 pages each.
Total cost of $36 for 2 autograph books with 75+ pages each.

After I figured out a system, I was able to print out all my pages in about 1 1/2 hours. Ran to Kinkos and they handed me the completed books in about 5 minutes.

To print the pictures:

170 pictures printed at Walmart @ $0.19 = $32.30
$3.99 for package of 100 page black cardstock
$12.00 at Kinkos for 5 cuts and 2 bindings
Total cost of $48.29 and I had to leave out some pictures and would still have to mount the pictures in the book!

Thanks Penny!! I didn't even see the first Bambi design... they are both so pretty I am not sure how I am ever going to pick.

When you have time... I know you are very busy with the Star Wars cards.... could you change this Bolt one for me a bit?



I would love if it said 4th Birthday on the sign and then maybe autographs under the picture of Bolt said Autographs. Does that make sense? If the autographs will fit, if not if you could just change the sign I would greatly appreciate it.

I redid it because I couldn't find the first Christopher one (5th) but it is saved now (in UFO) so easy to change. Different font, different colored font, different words, different colored frame. It really is easy to make changes since I have the original saved. I think someone broke into my computer and stole the first Christopher one I did as I found the jpg, but not the UFO and that's the one that allows you to make changes. Penny

Hi Penny! How's your mom doing? I was happy to hear that she got to leave ICU.

I finished the books for the kids last night and they look AMAZING!! Thank you so much for all your hard work.

When you get a chance, could you do 2 more covers for me? I know they won't be ready before our trip, but I could print them out and include them when we get home.
(if we even get to go next week ... the AF seems to think they might need to send hubby away tomorrow!!)

Anyway, I found your Character Meal cards and thought it would be fun to do a second little book for those. Could you make the following covers:

1. Bella's Character Meals with CRT, CM and CP
2. Zach's Character Meals with CM and CP

We are also doing the Campfire with Chip&Dale at Fort Wilderness, but I'm not sure if you have any of that clipart.


There is absolutely NO hurry on this, I know you are having quite a bit of fun with all the Star Wars stuff.

Okey Dokey, here are some ideas. Once you do a card and save it as a UFO in Photo Impact, it is very easy to make changes. So let me know. The only thing that is hard is if you don't like the frame at all. Then it is difficult because the clipart behind the frame is cut out to the size of the frame. But other than the frame itself, everything else is fair game.

Glad you like the cards. It gave me something to obsess about instead of worrying about my mom. Though I have missed reading all the posts and seeing what other people have DISigned. I have to start making shirts for my trip. I will finally get to try out Amy's transfers.

Glad you like them. If you take them from the Photo Bucket account, don't forget to click on them and them click on them again when they come up by themself to get it to 100% Right clicking within the thread to save them works also. Here's the rodents, they were an easy addition.

What size are your star wars cards in? I tried to print them and they come out blurry. Am I doing something wrong? I want them to be 5x7 size. When I try to get them that size they get blurry. I did it the same way that I did natalie's pages and amy's pages and I can't seem to get it right.
