I was just wondering if anyone has had a tussy mussy bouquet for their wedding, if you can change the white roses to another color and if anyone has pictures of it beside the one's I got from Rosie.
Since I was planning on having a mixed french handtied bouquet with white and cream roses and stephanotis with hidden mickeys anyway, I might as well have this instead, but I'm not sure about the holder itself.

Thanks

I'm not sure what a "tussy Mussy" bouquet is. Could you describe it? But, your idea for a hand tied bouquet sounds beautiful! :teeth:

I plan on getting the tussey mussey bouquet as well, but as is. I think it's so beautiful!

I had never heard of a tussey mussey before, but I'm pretty sure the name refers to the silver bouquet handle. It's so classic, I love it! :goodvibes:

I'd post a pic, but I don't have enough posts to do so! I'm still a n00b. :confused3

I have asked for this bouquet, but for the roses to be light pink if possible. I have yet to confirm w/ my WC that this is a possibility (I just asked for it in my planning pages), but I'll let you know as soon as I find out (the wedding is Jan 4th so I should know soon)

Thank you, moonpie. I hope it looks as nice as I imagine.

I think afinter1 is right, it's all about the holder the flowers go in or are attached to.

ForKeeps, I can't wait to see pictures of an actual bouquet. It's hard to see what the bouquet looks like when it's being held, but I love it.

I am having the Tussie Mussie bouquet at ny wedding in just (gulp!) 25 days!

When I spoke with Rosie she gave me the option of having pink roses in it instead of white at no cost. I did add an additional flower since I wanted touches of blue and the cost for that was less than $20. I would think that as long as it wasn't a specific rose that they do not have to go to extraordinary lengths to get, it will probably be just fine.

As far as the Tussie Mussie itself, that is actually just a name for a small posy or nosegay of flowers. The name is Victorian and has survived far longer than the actual practice of carrying such a thing on a regular basis. :rotfl:

In our times, a Tussie Mussie does often indicate a bouquet in a holder.

Sorry about the extra info, but I'm a librarian- and we just can't resist a chance to show off our reference skills!

For pictures, do an Image seach on Google for Tussie Mussie and you'll get plenty! :thumbsup2

Best of luck to you - and don't be afraid to call Disney floral - they are great!

I was going to use a family tussy mussy for our wedding, but it is solid silver, a pain to polish, and heavy. With the huge arrangement I'm having it didn't make sense to have something else to weigh me down. Luckily the ones they provide for disney weddings are just plastic so you won't have that problem.

Thank you! I hadn't heard of a "tussy Mussy" before...and now I know. :) I didn't have one at my wedding...just a hand tied bouquet with the stems exposed at the bottom (at my request), and a ribbon wrapped around, with little pearl top pins stuck in the sable ribbon. :teeth:

I used the Tussy Mussy with Fall Colors for my wedding this past Saturday! Here's a pic...

Wow! Your bouquet is beautiful!
Did you have an intimate or custom? if intimate, did they charge you extra to have different colored flowers? How did the holder look and feel?
I heard it was plastic and I'm a little worried that it would look cheap.
Sorry for all the questions, I'm just a little anxious about this.
Thanks for the picture and info.

Ours was an Intimate, and I was not charged anything extra to change the colors. I just asked for Fall Colors on my paperwork, and left the rest up to the professionals at Disney Floral. I was not disapointed at all! The flowers were perfect!

The Tussy Mussy Holder is plastic, but doesn't look it! To be honest, I didn't realize it was plastic until you mentioned it now. I just ran to take a closer look, makes sense though, cuz if it were silver or any type of metal, it would have weighed a lot more.

It has kinda an antique finish to it, so it looks just like the real thing.

Hope this helps! :)

What a beautiful bouquet!!! The colors are amazing! I am getting married the same weekend as you...but next year, so the colors are the same basically.. Do you have to have the plastic holder or can they just wrap the bottom with ribbon?

My maid of honor had a similar bouquet, but with the ribbon around it. I beleive the website called it the French Handtied Bouquet?
