Friday and earl of sandwich cannot get here soon enough!
Doing pedicure. Should have done it before I had my nails done. Maybe DH will paint my toenails so I don't mess up my fingernails that he payed for. Yeah that's it.
Cheers, Jennfer

That is GREAT NEWS! How Cool!

In other good news....

I was scheduled to work 8:30 -12:00 noon tomorrow with the airport shuttle scheduled to pick DH and I up at home at 3:00 pm. Today my bosses asked "Why are you coming in tomorrow?" and I drew a blank! My work was wrapped up and there wasn't a real "reason" other than saving a few hours of PTO. They told me to stay home and enjoy my vacation!

I AM OFFICIALLY FREE!

Woo Hoo!!! :yay::dance3:

I'm jealous I have to work from 7:00-12:00 noon tomorrow and I don't think they will let me escape early.

Did the last Target run tonight and packed a few things I missed before, just have to add the hairbrush, makeup and toothbrush tomorrow I think and I'm set.

does anyone know if it would be alright to leave a magnetic clip on our door to hang "posters" instead of printing onto magnetic paper?...

You are getting creative. :thumbsup2 As long as it's not going to leave marks on or pull the paint off the door, you should be fine.

I have no magnets!! Wonder if I'll get that done too between now and 4 a.m. Saturday morning...I have not been here to the thread often but it seems like a great bunch and we will soon all be on this fantastic cruise!!!

Back to packing!!

Thanks...I'd like to take the credit for being creative with this...but it's more of a last second effort to get something on the door for my DD bday....

we're off to the airport at 4:30am tomorrow morning....yikes....at this point, what's packed is packed...

See you all onboard!!!

uhoh! We were upgraded a month ago and I see that our room number in the FE list (group 1) is blank...on the mininavigator too...it is room 6568. Can this still get added in? Will nobody find us? How sad!

My four-year-old was helping me put together our FE gifts tonight & I told him we were going to be delivering them like Santa. He joked, "How will we get down the chimneys?" then decided we would have to write to Santa and ask how to do it. :)

edited to say: I've added it to the lists...will that be enough to still be included in this?

I'm never going to be ready on time!!! :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

My to do list keeps getting longer and my time keeps getting less and less. One way or another I'm getting on that plane on Friday. :thumbsup2 I think that leaving the kids behind is more work then taking them with us!

The good news is that Donna and I will indeed be sailing on the cruise. Our new stateroom is #7032. Please take a moment to note this on your Mini-Nav, as I understand changes are not likely to be made or added.

Having signed up as a participant for FE#1, we will indeed be distributing the 150 FE's we purchased previously. We'd also like to participate in the Stateroom Tag, which we had been signed up for, previously.

.

Steve,
I just went to update my FE (Group #1) list that I printed out a few nights ago & I do not see you listed on it at all. With the addition of you to this group it is now at 54 rooms? (Or are you possibly listed under another name or something?)

Are there any other changes I may have missed in the past few days?

I had him on my list that I printed out a couple of days ago. He was under sdlong.

i, too, have packed, repacked, packed, and repacked...i think i'm pretty much done now...but i DO have that feeling that something has been forgotten....well, i guess i'll find out onboard....like someone said - as long as we've got out passports and money...family of 5 -> 3 bags total...not too bad...

That's gooooood! Our family of 4 are packed into 2 medium suitcases, 1 large roller duffle and 1 medium duffel (and that's just the checked luggage!) Each of us have 2 carry ons each! :scared1:

Sometimes its rough being the only male in the family. :worship:

:rotfl2:

We too are off to airport tomorrow AM at 5! Pass you somewhere over the midwest...and see you in Orlando!

I am pleased to announce ... I have arranged for officers of the Disney Magic to join us at our 3:00 - 3:45PM Meet-n-Greet, at Promenade Lounge.

I am not sure exactly who will be in attendance, or for how long. Please make sure you stop in to say hello. This is a great way to be recognized, and to let the ship know that DISboards rocks!
:cool1:

Today we arrived in Orlando, after four nights in Las Vegas. We saw Cirque du Soleil's "KA" (my fourth time), went on the Hoover Dam powerplant tour, visited the new Aria casino and resort at the City Center (we went twice, and had gelato at Jean Philippe Patisserie), had lunch at the Bellagio buffet, and went to Fremont Street for the Fremont Experience.

I'm glad to see everyone is getting ready for this cruise.

Brooklyn: Very nice job with the DIS message board. The Southwest Airlines in-flight magazine had a mini-interview with Nathan Fillion of Castle, and I thought of your DD. I saved a copy of the interview for you.

Save travels to all. See you on Saturday.

Woody

OMG...what am I not bringing...there must be some things I'm forgetting...ai-ya :scratchin

too late now anyway...bags are locked an ready for the taxi!!!

FLORIDA...ready or not, here we come!!!

Load of dark clothes done (needed that for tomorrow's work outfit), light load will be done in the morning.

Did the self laminating on the door signs I printed. Did a full page one of the Mickey at the helm that has the ports of call and realized after I'd done one side that I'd printed the one that had the WONDER on it. :headache: Fortunately the stuff is re-sealable for 24 hours so I peeled it off and will print the correct one at work tomorrow. Now if I can just find where I put the magnets!

Also wrote out the bills that are due while we're gone and will drop them in the mail tomorrow night.

Will pick up the house tomorrow AM while doing that final load of laundry and then just load and zip up the suitcases tomorrow night, then TRY to sleep! 5AM wake up call Friday morning...think I'd better remind my brother-in-law he's taking me to the airport!

Toddling off to bed now, hope my boss let's me out a little early tomorrow!

.

Are you kidding me? I CAN NOT KEEP UP!

If everyone is half as frantic as they sound or half as busy as they sound or just half as excited as they sound?

Let me tell you!!!! WE all need a nice long vacation!

Can't remember everything but here goes!

Welcome back Steven and Donna, reception sounds like a wonderful way to start the cruise!

Whoever said, "easier to bring the kids along?" Oh my goodness, I soooo agree (what I have spent (time/money) the last several weeks going over and buying to leave them home well supplied/prepared is unbelieveable!) BUT then I think, they would actually be there the whole time. . .nope! My trip this time:rotfl:

Earl of Sandwhich:lovestruc gosh even the toasted kids PB&J is fabulous. . .

packing smacking, who cares, I'm shoving the rest in and going with whatever it is! I am having a love/hate relationship with that dang new luggage scale, it keeps telling me a different story then I want to hear!

TAXES done, and yes, I'm waiting until FRIDAY in FL to mail that miserable check to the state of MD! :headache: AND FED's are done and state of DE not due until 4/30 and we return on the 25th, that's plenty of time right???:confused3

and so not sure what everyone else's weather scoop is but here is ours. 87 high yesterday, 86 high today and I thought it was gonna cool off to run around like a fool and do all the last minute house/packing stuff for tomorrow so I did not turn the a/c on, but appears? not so much. So I had not turned a/c on as we are leaving and kids don't care about heat but tonight? we caved. Oh the blissful cold airconditioning vent at my feet under my desk. . . I think vacation actually did start already! Never mind I paid an outrageous heating bill just last month after our 3 feet of snow:scared1: crazy weather, the ATLANTIC can't throw anything at us we haven't already seen right? hot, cold, earthquakes, fires, floods, seriously?

And let's top off my day by the DD14 b.sitting job going crazy late today(making 3 more of us late for other activities), my car making horrendous sounds and being rendered undrivable (in the shop as of 10pm tonight) , both my "grown" boys changing/getting jobs while I am away that effect my plans for their chauffering services to my younger kiddos, DD allergies kicking in for first time this year (gotta get/adjust meds before we leave), 5 kids all trying to talk/hand me stuff when I got in the door at 11pm tonight when I was beyond beat and the DH talking over them all saying he needed my attention ("now, up in our bedroom")! Seriously? No matter how hard I try, the last 24 hours are always chaotic somehow.

Never mind the Calgon, Disney Magic? Take me away!!!!

So...was thinking that my daughter would have a hard time sleeping tonight as we fly out tomorrow. But alas....who is up at 1:30am cruising disboards and not sleeping? Just can't brain to shut off. On the other hand, I too am taking Via with me on the trip....maybe too much coffee today was the culprit!:rotfl2:

:surfweb: It's called "Via" and I like it. :thumbsup2

Good morning all.

Safe travels to those on the move today.

Kileybeth..May your chaos diminish today. (I, too, will do Delaware taxes when I return.)

Fortunately, my daughter has been in her "Mom Control" mode and is trying to keep me serene and focused. She has really gotten good at this over the years. Don't know what I'll forget. With exception of passport, don't care. Lost my passport (or realized it was lost) the day before my flight to London for my retirement TA cruise in 2007. That's when everybody, including my ex-husband, really came thru. Convinced on Friday to go to Philly on Monday to get a one-day replacement. Found me a flight to Dublin from Newark on Monday evening. SIL drove me to Philly Monday, waited while I got the passport, and then drove like the wind to Newark airport. Met up with ship in Dublin Tuesday and joined friends for a wonderful cruise.

Steve...glad you'll be onboard. Thanks for arranging the officers for the meet & greet.

Two more days at work for me. Then off to Orlando to experience one of my favorite tag lines from cruise critic:

"Meeting old friends for the first time!"

Morning all! Can't believe we sail the day after tomorrow!!!!!!!! EEEK! Still have some stuff to put in a suitcase, need to repack one for weight, and need to go back to Kohls as I got there last night and got all the way to check out before I realized I forgot a $10 off coupon. Doh!

I have been obsessing over wave forecasts.... is it me, or is it looking pretty calm through 4/13? Fingers crossed for a relatively smooth sailing.

Last meetings of the week today and DMIL arrives toniight. Tonight's our last sleep at home as we'll stay at the airport tomorrow.

Have a great day everyone!
