I was just talking to my brother and he told me that my dad told him all he really wants to see in Spain is a BULL FIGHT! He said he doen't want to see old buildings, etc... Meanwhile I have the 5 of us booked on a $95 tour of Barcelona! I wish I would have known this sooner-- or that he would have told this to ME! So, is there a Disney excursion to see a Bull fight in Barcelona that I could switch the 5 of us to at this last possible moment???

The last time I was in Barcelona (35 years ago) I did go to a bull fight but no one in my family is in the LEAST bit interested this time!

I also saw Jethro Tull in concert there!

Stephanie and I decided the other day that we are both in danger of serious Cowboys withdrawal if we don't watch The Amazing Race for 2 weeks in a row. Oh My Gravy!

Do you all see the news story that Spirit Airlines starting in August is going to start charging $45 for your carryon unless you can put it under your seat!!! This is in addition to your checked luggage fee. Well I won't be flying with them that is for sure

I recently noticed that Starbucks has travel packs of instant coffee, but with their beans. For those of you needing a better coffee fix, these might be good. I haven't tried them, but thought I would pass this along.

For anyone who has taken a taxi or prearranged car transfer from the ship to the Barcelona airport.... Where did they drop you off? ...

Any info would be greatly appreciated, and thanks to everyone who PMd about the transfers!

In other good news....

I was scheduled to work 8:30 -12:00 noon tomorrow with the airport shuttle scheduled to pick DH and I up at home at 3:00 pm. Today my bosses asked "Why are you coming in tomorrow?" and I drew a blank! My work was wrapped up and there wasn't a real "reason" other than saving a few hours of PTO. They told me to stay home and enjoy my vacation!

I AM OFFICIALLY FREE!

How did you pack for two weeks and only have a bag at 37 lbs? My kids clothes are in one bag weighing in at 47 lbs, since I am using a regular bathroom scale and sure it's heaver than the airlines one I need to take a few things out and put it into mine....

Well, for one I have a bit of exprerience trying to pack light so that helps. Also we plan to do laundry, so in my mind I packed for a 7 night cruise w/ 3 extra days on land. And EVERYTHING that's bath related is in travel size.

But really I don't feel like I packed too light. I brought 5 pairs of shoes, 2 formal dresses, 1 semiformal, 2 buttondown sweaters, a sweatshirt, 2 pairs slacks, 2 pairs jeans (which weigh a lot), 3 pairs shorts, 2 pairs capris, 1 jacket, 1 dress, 1 skirt, 2 swimsuits and I don't know how many tops.

I'm working on this one tomorrow!!

Well TONIGHT my desk at work is all caught up, but who knows what wonders will appear tomorrow.

Just going to fix a light supper (soup and eggs) and get that packing wrapped up. Have a final load of clothes to wash and just have to decide what 'stay behind' clothes I'll be wearing to work tomorrow. The goal for tomorrow night is just to pick up the house a bit and zip up the suitcase!

does anyone know if it would be alright to leave a magnetic clip on our door to hang "posters" instead of printing onto magnetic paper?

i, too, have packed, repacked, packed, and repacked...i think i'm pretty much done now...but i DO have that feeling that something has been forgotten....well, i guess i'll find out onboard....like someone said - as long as we've got out passports and money...family of 5 -> 3 bags total...not too bad...

So we called about a wine package. On the website they have a 3, 4, and 7 day. According the CM, cruisers on 14 day cruise may purchase two 7 day packages, and by "may" they mean "only". You can't buy one. So 14 bottles it is. My BIL and SIL don't drink. We requested a table for 8, so not sure if you will or will not want to be our tablemates!!

Mickey also says you must include a card. So we are gifting ourselves a wine package.

My husband was worried I was going to think this was two much wine. He should know better. We don't usually drink the nights before port, so good thing we have lots of sea days to drink those extra bottles.
