Just FYI PrincessMonkey did not want her stateroom # public before the cruise. If you PM her she'll let you know, otherwise you'll get it at the port. This is possibly the case with other people with missing #s.

PrincessMonkey and Dr. Dave have their wedding at WDW sometime this weekend or coming week, as they are honeymooning with a few hundred of their newest friends.

We'll meet the happy couple in person - along with nearly every one of you guys (right?) at the 3:00 Meet & Greet. Remember, it's not important how long you stay as long, just so long as you drop by. You can test my amazing psychic ability of guessing who's who.

...
friends of Michelle2: possibly Michelle2 (2) on the mini-Nav -> #2145? or we'll leave with Michelle2 (1) in #2143

Isn't the Freidyfamily the friends of Michelle? and they are on the Mini-Nav list.

ok went scouring through my craft room and came up with what I hope will be a cute FE stateroom gift for groups 2 and 3 - we shall see - it is something that doesn't take up a lot of space and can possibly be used up during the trip - so that is good for those with luggage issues!

Am finishing up the name tags. Total = 351 This includes 8 special (friends), at least 10 people who did not give us names for their party and 10 who stated no name tag.

When asked "how many in your sailing party?" The answer is 363.

That's a lot of :laundy:

My goodness! I don't know how to keep on top of this board AND I stupidly did not multi-quote as I browsed through the posts, so if I missed anything, Im very sorry.:sad2:

Our US shopping trip was a huge success! I found several formal dresses, but finally settled on just 2 of them. DH got a beautiful suit for a ridiculously low price and DS will be the best dressed 8 year old in the neighbourhood all summer! :thumbsup2 However, we still did not get everything we needed
and with $160 Kohl's dollars we are seriously considering another trip tomorrow afternoon. Can you say power shop? :lmao:

Dena , Im sorry for what you are going through.

To the military families, Im so happy your loved ones have made it home safe and sound! Hugs all around! :grouphug:

Sorry to hear about the flooding and earthquake! Wow! Things are upside down! This is the first March in recorded history we haven't gotten snow in Eastern Ontario. Im thinking I can't wait to get to Florida to cool down! It was 30 degrees yesterday and 23 today. I have sunburn already and I haven't even put the boots and tuques away! The triangle sunburn on my chest is NOT going to go well with my new formal dress!

Lynne, Krisann, Dee, Stephanie and everyone else who works so hard to make our experiences simply awesome, I thank you from the bottom of my heart!

I'd like to join the laundry party group too! I'll bring the dryer sheets (and a little vino!) :thumbsup2

DH is hopeful on seeing some hockey play off games while on board. If you see a man wondering around late at night (early in the morning?) wearing an Ottawa Senators jersey, looking for a big screen TV.....That will be Jim. :rotfl2:

Happy Easter, Happy Passover, Happy Day to everyone! :flower3:

DH and I will be on the Seville on your Own DCL tour also. We will be leaving DS in the Oceaneers lab for the day. Hmm, still not quite ready to do it though.

Whew! Did I get it all? :surfweb:

WOW! That is a lot of work - you are so kind to do all those! I am glad we ordered the 500 Lanyards because it is nice to be able to have them for those who are still checking in for the first time. This just leaves us with 137 extra lanyards - divided by 23 means each lanyard team member will get to take 5 extra's to do as they please with! This is so great! :cheer2: :cheer2:

thanks to the entire lanyard team!:cheer2::grouphug:

Very colorful - great graphics and plenty of room for our to-be-tween son, 8 1/2 to practice his writing (most important "homework" from his school) during our extra 2 weeks off.
.
A bit tricky to print out and re-bind but it makes sense once one "gets it".
.
First, super-important to print landscape and "Double-sided" (9 sheets of 8 1/2" x 11" paper).

Then, place face down in-order, 9 pages (very well planned out) as so:

Mickey/Minnie (will be 1st page, when center-bound, then folded)
My Travel Journal (with "stamp") Day 1, Port Canaveral, will be 3rd page.
Castaway Cay with "page" of blank lines, will be 5th page.
Day at Sea (with Stitch on bottom right), will be 7th page.
Day at Sea (lots of blank lines, with "Day 14 Barcelona" on left side of page), will be 9th page.
Day at Sea (lots of blank lines, with "Day 13 Day at Sea" on left side of page), will be 11th page.
Day at Sea (lots of blank lines, with white-uniformed Mickey on bottom-right and "Day 12 Gibraltar" on left side of page), will be 13th page.
Day at Sea (lots of blank lines, with "Day 11 Cadiz Spain" on left side of page), will be 15th page.
Day at Sea (lots of blank lines, with "Day 10 Day at Sea" on left side of page), will be 17th page.

If placed face-down in order above, "Day 9 Madeira" will be left side of top face-up page (18th page).

Fold sheets down the middle individually. Then center-bind with vertical staples (use reinforcements inside and outside as a "binder") or with scrapbooking brads (my wife's department).

We did two copies so my son can make mistakes.

Fun and Thanks!

Hello - I just "rejoined" with posting here (been caught up with kids, school, and personal matter)...but really can't procrastinate anymore being that we are leaving for FL in 4 days..argh..3 really since we're flying out early AM....Anyway, I was wondering if this "journal" you are talking about can be posted again? It sounds really interesting and might be useful for my son as well...thanks for any information regarding it...

Just print odds then evens.

Thanks for the very detailed instructions!

Here are some pics of the final project....

MOTHER AND DAUGHTER BINDERS...:rotfl: This is my "vacation planner" and Brooklyn's journal. She loves anything that is smaller then an original so she loves that ours match.

Oh My Goodnes...the journals looks so awesome! Can you tell me where you got the link to print out the pages?

Oh yes...forgot to mention that somehow I was unable to log in as my initial name "DISCruiseNewbies" so I had to re-register as DISCruiseNewbie this time...don't know what happened, but I could not get my password to work for the life of me...

I'm done tweaking ... 12 days to get ready ... you've seen my NOPE! list of things done.

I am actually printing, laminating, cutting the name tags & inserting them in the badge holders right now.

I think this captures the look of the logo and the spirit of classical nautical style. I'm just making everyone's associated user name the same, as the white background doesn't lend itself to the distinguishing color (it's not appreciably different red or blue).

Bottom line, I feel good about the name tags being scrapbook quality.

> Thanks so much Lynne for all your time spent on these...looks great and can't wait to see them in person!

I see she has fallen victim to the talking to yourself through posts late night syndrome. But she is still with us :cheer2:

PS: I am leaving your user name unchanged on your name tags - nobody will notice the missing letter - I found a bunch of people's user names to be "wrong" on the Master Spread Sheet - capitalization and spacing :goodvibes

Alright, already...I did my taxes. Now the question is, will the state of Arizona have the money to send me my refund? I believe they ran out about last November!!!:scared1: Man, I don't want a stupid tax credit for this year...I want to send a check to VISA!!!

Yeah for taxes done but boy I would want a refund too, not a credit!

Dry cleaning... it is way cheaper on the boat than where I live, so I just wash things, squish them into the suit case & have them pressed when we get on board (half price, I think). For dry cleaning, just send 'em off!!! princess:

We do the same thing. Bring it wrinkly and if Downy Wrinkle spray can't handle it, we just send it out for DCL to press. They do a good job and not too pricey :)

While I did make magnets this weekend, I FORGOT to do the taxes. Was purposefully waiting til last minute to avoid paying it until we had to and now it's officially the last minute :scared1:

However printer is out of ink again due to magnet printing so must drive the 30 miles to civilization to obtain new ink cartridges to do taxes.

Forgot if I am to blame my newly acquired Xyron addiction on Lynne or Stephanie or perhaps a combination of both but I have learned that there is a reason to turn everything in the house into a sticker, laminate or magnet, or perhaps multiple combinations of those :) Thankfully I am out of printer ink, xyron cartridges, Michael's half off coupons and room.

Will resort to Facebook for comfort.

Tomorrow we are going to Opening Day at Citi Field for the Mets (SO EXCITED!) Can I get a collective "Let's Go Mets"??? The packing will begin Tuesday (I hope!)

Enjoy the game, today looks glorious so far! Drove past CitiField yesterday after Easter at my parents - they moved the old home run apple out of the east lobby area , to the subway promenade approach.
So, :woohoo:LET'S GO METS popcorn::
(except during any Subway Series, sorry)

Well planned Lynne. We are doing beekeeping excursion with DCL and then Hop On Hop Off Bus but sounds like you will have a great day and I think taking business class on the way back is always a good thing :) Take lots of pictures since we won't be getting there!

We are doing the bee keeping excursion too - thought it would be educational for the kids! :)Krisann

You guys can keep it. I am highly allergic to bee stings so that one wouldn't work for me but I hope you all have fun. And maybe can show us all pictures that can't go.

I see she has fallen victim to the talking to yourself through posts late night syndrome. But she is still with us :cheer2:
:goodvibes

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Tooo funny Lynne! You just made my "overwhelmed....not packed yet...still have some magnets to make....still have adult FE's to finish...." self!
..... I am sitting on my floor this morning because my son is on the couch doing his before school/after breakfast nap and I have a PILE of clothes (to rule in or out packing) on the only other available chair. ....let the panic begin! :scared1:

and of course the anticipation:yay::yay::yay:

So I have packed, unpacked and partly packed again our suitcases. I might be able to squeeze it in to two suitcases if it weren't for those darn heavier coats. I think we will need them in Germany afterwards. I am going to try and look at the weather channel today to get a better idea. We have one magnet design done (just have to print it) 4 more that are in various stages of cleaning up and one more to be drawn and scanned in for cleaning....who needs sleep before the cruise? I will be the person passed out fully dressed on a lounge chair the minute they let us on the ship... or sitting on a bench with my hubby in the terminal asleep.... Oh well what are vacations for:lmao:
