Saw that Donald "Ducky" Williams is on our cruise. He was on our last one and his seminars are fantastic! :thumbsup2 I won two of his hand drawn characters on that cruise.

I see that this time he going to include painting cells. :woohoo:

At work.....having such a difficult time concentrating! I just want to be on vacation right now!:goodvibes

I'm with you there. Someone asked me something and I was like what?? They said I'm not gone yet even though it appears I have Disney on the brain now :rotfl:

What is the cheapest way to get tickets to WDW for two days only? We have 3 adults and on child. We do not care about park hopping. At the park it looks like it is about $300 a day. I know No-expire is good and 10-day is the best deal, but I am not looking to spend $1800 right now, if I can help it. We have 2 days after the cruise (one in MK and one in Epcot) and looking for the best option. Undercover tourist does not sell 2-day tickets. We are DVC, but I don't think we will be able to really take advantage of the annual pass for $1600 this year.

Any ideas?

I'll PM you. We have a partner that offers discounted 2-day tix.

Speaking of being 'disney distracted.' My 24yo DD was over to dinner with myself and my DS 19yo. They were talking about DS love life and I was trying to make a contribution. My son turned to me and said, "just go back to your disney bubble, and every thing will be fine." My children know me too well.

Just saw on the news that the space shuttle went off as expected, I hope Yvet and Emil made it to see the launch.
Cheers, Jennifer

I see she has fallen victim to the talking to yourself through posts late night syndrome. But she is still with us :cheer2:

PS: I am leaving your user name unchanged on your name tags - nobody will notice the missing letter - I found a bunch of people's user names to be "wrong" on the Master Spread Sheet - capitalization and spacing :goodvibes

>Ah, yes....I admit I was feeling a little bit "goofy" last night....

Hi Everyone,

I was wondering if any of your (or specifically, your children) have celebrated a birthday while on a Disney cruise...is there anything special done? Birthday banner on the door or birthday cake at the dining room?? My DD will be turning 5 and I want to make it a special day for her...can anyone advise? I did see that there are special birthday packages that can be purchased, if I don't purchase that package, will nothing be done?? Also, is there something special for the birthday kids at the Kids' Club?
Thank you!

I don't know about the kids club but if you let your servers know they will bring cake and sing to her at dinner. On our first cruise my sister had a birthday. We bought some of the birthday stuff for the room for her as well.

I don't now about in the Kids' Club but you can make arrangements with you Server and they will have a cate for him. No candles allowed. And just what you need--another dessert!:banana:

I brought a banner for the door but it was only my 2nd cruise and I didn't know you couldn't use tape on the door. Oh well, it was painter's tape and didn't harm the door. No one said anything either. Now I know to use magnets. It seems to me I saw a birthday mickey hat or the one that looks like a cake with candles on it in the ship store. I'm not sure. I can't imagine they wouldn't do something in the club if you made a point of telling them.

It is my husband's birthday on April 11 and I am bringing a few things to decorate our door for that day. I was looking at some of the DCL gift packs. I will tell our server and they usually bring a cake.

Calling all princesses- what about your prince, does he have a crown? I was at Burger King and picked up one of their paper crowns and put a few decorations on it- Don't know if DH will wear it, but maybe if others had one he would wear it. The Disboarders can make a statement at the ball.

Thank you everyone for you thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Happy Belated Easter!!!

Cant wait to be on board. Just a few more days now.

I am thinking that yes you will need coats in Germany this time of year. I looked back on our travels in Barcelona from 2 years ago - it was April - and we are wearing jackets in some of the photos so even there it may be necessary to have something. Could you carryon your coats?

I looked at the weather channel.com today and right now at the castle (Neuschwanstein) it is 11 degrees and SNOWING!!!!!!:scared1: I was talking to one of my coworkers who so sweetly lets me tell her about my cruise a lot. And she said don't you those space saver bags? Oh yeah. Doh!!!! I am really only concerned about space getting on the ship (we would look quite silly carring leather jackets on a cruise ship) We are going to carry them on the plane with us and if neccessary we will carry them on the plane home too but don't want to if I don't have to. I am resigned to a third piece of luggage. I figure that if I stick the coats in there now and carry them home on the plane I have almost a whole other piece of luggage to put souveniers in.:cool1:

Are there irons & ironing boards in the laundry rooms?

This is getting serious.
If I remember correctly there are both in the laundry room so no stressing about that...:goodvibes

Maybe Barbara thought she had a good excuse to get out of it. ;)

...I have been the principle clotheswasher designate of my family for 38 years. :laundy: I'll be happy to assist you in this class

Several times during a cruise I will set my alarm for about 3AM. I call room service to order a pot of coffee and oatmeal raisin cookies .... just because I can!

And the class will be at ... 3AM ?

So are any of the people that have the luggage scales bringing them with them? I might need to make a quick check of luggage weight at the end of the cruise but don't have the time or money to run out and get one myself.

I am bringing one - put me down to borrow :)

Mrs. Gumdrop,

Could you post the final awards ballot so I know the specific titles - particularly for the pirate door?

Thanks,
Kristi

I'm not packed - not one single item.
I have finished the FE's - not even half done!!!!!!!
I am freaking out. :scared1:

The FE is chose was something I thought would be easy to put together. Boy was I ever wrong.

I at least created a packing list so I just have to pick it up and drop it in the suitcase.

How long does dry cleaning on the ship take? I wasn't able to drop my dress at the cleaners today (forgot). :sad2:

ACK!!!!!

Kristi

OK, deep breth!

Are the FE 'elements' something that could be completed/assembled on the ship? Remember you have all those sea days and maybe even a crafty cruisemate or two to help you out.

I don't recall the time for the dry cleaning, but if you give them something on embarkation day, I'm betting you can have it back for Monday (formal night)...was that your worry? I'm sure someone here will know for sure..

Maybe we should have some teen volunteers to run the ship with hand held luggage scales that Friday night! :lmao:
