Wow! We are very excited to have found this forum!! My husband and I booked this cruise well over a year ago for our family. We are so excited that we don't have so long to wait anymore! Really fun to see everyone here so excited about the trip. And interesting too to see where everyone comes from.

WELCOME MrsYOWHAM! ...

Wow...lots of pages since yesterday...so much excitement!
I guess I will have to get some GBP's ..... was trying to talk myself out of it but it makes financial sense.

I just want to reiterate....
THANKS A MILLION :worship::worship::worship:
to all of the organizers, printers, keepers of lists, researchers, guides and planners who are doing all this stuff on the boards. Krisann thanks for taking over the games...Brooklyn...awesome travel journal!

I have been somewhat productive this weekend
1. All taxes finished
2. FE's mostly done
3. Did a test run (a another event last night) on my new "princess hairdo" for formal night (where will the tiara sit?)
4. Won $95 in a raffle last night! ....maybe I will use it to buy the GBP's :lmao:
OR....Maybe I will use it for the mechanic ....as my stupid "check engine" light went on last night on the way home from the event :headache:

Its all good...Less than two weeks till heaven! I feel very blessed:goodvibes

Oh yea.QOTD..I am with STkeeler...the Mango soup is awesome..but the all time fav is that Chocolate lava cake thingy...that oozes chocolate... I have tasted other versions but nothing compares to the original.

....
Another thank you to Stephanie, and Lynne and Krisann and to everyone else that has been working hard for all of us....

I don't post very often, but I had to repeat this. All the work you all do is very impressive and much appreciated.

I'm just stressing out big time at work and my boss has been threatening to cancel all vacations.
(I need to get out of this place)

So Carla saw this sign she forgot to get when she went down to Portland a couple of weeks ago: "No Pirates, Wenches Only!" Since she's still regretting not getting it, I thought I'd make her one. What do you think?

So cute!

(and you know all the ladies only travelers are going to be wishing we had one)

.

Does anybody now where exactly the laundry rooms are located???

Aft on Deck 2; I think on Deck 6 and 7 too. Anyway, definitely aft and on the left, is that port? Before you get to the aft elevators.

Deck 6 and 7 laundry rooms are on the starboard side, the deck 6 one is across from stateroom 6588; the deck 7 one is across from 7590 or thereabouts. Deck 2 is on the port side near stateroom 2096.

My tax prep has commenced but had to get on the computer to look up something in my Visa statement. Of course, my home page is the DIS...so I HAD to stop in here first! I'm thinking my state refund is going to be juicy, as I have a pretty hefty medical deduction...so now I'm excited to compete the task!

.

Hi all

I've popped over from the WBTA to ask a big question. If anyone gets a chance could they take photos of the menus (the ones outside the restaurants are fine) just so we can all be nosey and see what food we have to look forward to? Im assuming someone is going to post Navigators somewhere after the cruise too and it would be great to get to see them!

Anyway Im sure youll have a fab time as I loved the EBTA last time!

Sarah

I just wanted to say Good Morning :dance3:

Going with my little brothers and sisters to see How to Train Your Dragon today and then I might go look at cameras. I have one but have been thinking of upgrading for the trip.

Have a great day everyone :cheer2:

Happy Sunday everyone!

I am looking forward to eating all of this good stuff that you guys are talking about. I LOVE sweets :lovestruc so it will be hard for me to not eat double sweets for lunch and dinner.

Thank you for the SM information and also thanks to the people that stepped up to take charge of some of the activities.
Started some packing today and I have one suitcase full already and a long list of things yet to pack which I don't think will fit in just another suitcase. I guess I am going to have to rethink and re pack. there is no way I am paying $200 for a third suitcase.

Ok - inquiring (nosey actually) what airline are you flying on so I can make sure I stay away from it! Or are you talking you already have 2 just for you and a 3rd that way or a group total of 2 (son one bag each) and then adding one more between the two of you?

One hint that is one of the best things we do is to purchase a rolling duffle. I purchased a second one (31 inch at Sams Club for $40) and was able to put the items from 2 carry on size suitcases into the ONE duffle - and it is flexible - especially love the drop bottom where I put all our shoes (well most of them). I got my new scale yesterday and weighed the duffle and it was 44.4 pounds - and it has ALL the games in it (2 metal tins packed full - and they are heavy) plus all our shoes, dress clothes for 4 of us, 2 coats and some other clothes also I think.

I'm done tweaking ... 12 days to get ready ... you've seen my NOPE! list of things done.

I am actually printing, laminating, cutting the name tags & inserting them in the badge holders right now.

I think this captures the look of the logo and the spirit of classical nautical style. I'm just making everyone's associated user name the same, as the white background doesn't lend itself to the distinguishing color (it's not appreciably different red or blue).

Bottom line, I feel good about the name tags being scrapbook quality.

0001yu.jpg

I think they are awesome - love that white with the blue writing! (you can still make mine lime green - LOL)

Lynne: Although we aren't lanyard wearers, having a nametag for Anne and for Frank might still be fun. We like w/Donald. Thank you. :hippie:

We have plenty of lanyards!

And if someone wants one on the cruise (without a name tag) as a souveniour once they get on the cruise please come and see me! (dee - can this info go into the Mini Nav? My cabin number is 7538 and I will have the extras. And while it was cheaper to buy 500 I do not want to take home 100+. Oh now I have a good idea - the start of the 2nd week any lanyards I have left will be divided up along the lanyard team to do with as they wish (give them out to servers, take home, etc. because if we each only have to deal with 10-15 extras it be easier! But I will keep them for the first week incase diser's who did not get them can come and request one in one central location. Sorry to ramble - just had that thought!

Does anybody now where exactly the laundry rooms are located???

I know the decks - but from there I just follow the signs - I am sure somebody knows!

Thank you first - and second I would be freaking out about cancelling the vacations - but that makes me know I did the right thing in buying the insurance add-on that included if your work came up and said you could not go I would be covered and get all my money back!

Krisann

You are good... the exact locations are:

Self Service Laundry Locations: Deck 2, opposite of cabin 2096, Deck 6, opposite of cabin 6588, deck 7 opposite of cabin 7590

Whispering Canyon this time. I was just looking for an excuse to visit WL. I have has a long distance love affair with WL for a Long Time.

We're eating at WCC too! We're staying at WL for the first time on Friday night. I wish we could have gone for more than one night since i love that hotel. In any case, I wanted to make sure we got the MOST out of the resort stay so we'll be at the pool on Friday, dinner at WCC Friday night, hang out in the lobby for a bit before bed, and then back to WCC again for breakfast on Saturday before we board the Magic Express :)

Hi Everyone.... We are the Freidy family are are VERY excited to be joining you on the Bound for Barcelona Transatlantic Disney Cruise (wow! I got chills just typing that) This is our family's first cruise ever! We are so ecstatic :rotfl: we can hardly stand it. Everyone I've talked to has said that Disney Cruises are the Best! We have the Disney count down calendar thanks to the Disboard and all the great information you guys post..... Thanks! I also want to give a little shout out to my Disfriend Michelle 2 for making our Disney Dream Vacation come true! You Rock girlfriend! :dance3:

WELCOME!

DONE!! THEY'RE DONE!! My Federal taxes, that is. And while I thought I'd owe, I'M GETTING A REFUND. :cool1:

Now it's on to state. But they're easy.

Cruise duds are in the dryer. Some are folded and on the bed in the spare bedroom.

In two weeks we'll be at sea--and I'll be eating dinner. Speaking of eating, does Disney serve lovely cold fruit soups? They're one of my favorite cruise foods. It's like having a secret desert at the beginning of a meal.

KileyBeth, I emailed a question to the folks at Disney about monitoring BP. Hope I like their answer.

Yay on finishing your taxes. We finished ours over a month ago and are still waiting for our refund. Doh!

WELCOME!!!

I'm most looking forward to ALL of the food, the chocolate desserts, the shriley temples we get in the dining room, lobster, oh and our Palo brunch!

Yeah, we paid the driver we hired for the day in dollars. Good thing on no shopping!

We still have this "ball" that we bought there for Madison. It was a reg bouncy ball you could get in any store in the US for about a $2...we paid $10! :scared1: Yes, we chose to buy it but it was the cheapest thing we could find!!!

If anyone has a child who is into trains there is a toy store with a TON of thomas the train items. Again, they were all VERY over priced but a great selection.

Where is the toy store? I have a Thomas obsessed 3 year old and this will be a hit with him. We were in Gibralter in August 09 and I stocked up on Thomas underpants ("don't pee on Thomas!") and a few Tomas shirts at one of the department stores.

Agree with PP that shopping is WAY expensive. I bought a pack of Pokemon cards for my older son and they set us back about $8 USD (we paid in Euro).

I have made a vow that at ports the only shopping I will do is for Christmas Ornaments - I am slowly creating a tree with all the different countries/ports that we visit on our trips - try to find ones that are flat and not breakable. I have to plan for another disney one too though - yep I am one of the crazy people who paid $50 for a Panama Canal Christmas ornament in 2008!

So did I and I love it. :) Why am I not surprised that you collect Christmas ornaments. ;)

I made this journal for Brooklyn for the trip.

OMG, I love it! You are amazing!!! :worship:

what's all this posting about money? are we supposed to bring money? with the prices we paid for this cruise, I thought Disney was paying for everything

:confused3

:rotfl2:

FYI: Our driver in Gibraltar told me that we could pay in US$.

There you go :) (click for full size)

Oh you are so sweet! ....but....could you put all three of our names on it? Monica, Jackie, Pam....arranged in whatever way suits your artistic nature! :grouphug:

Glad that medical stuff is good for something!:yay:

I also have a 3 year old Thomas obsessed grandson. The underpants sound like a great idea. Now if we could just figure something out for his sister.
