I am not, not Noot Nooot opening a can of worms here just adding my two euros. :littleangel: Closed toe = hose Open = no BUT I would and will wear hose to a formal affair regardelss...there are options, you can get footless and no seams hose or tights. :snooty:

An aside: Sailing by Christopher Cross has become my new favorite song.
P.S. My family does NOT approve that it is now on the HDD in my car. :cutie:

OK, after reading back 5 pages, I now understand the spa/rainforest question.

Years ago, you got the rainforest for 1/2 price with a "hands on" treatment. They no longer do that. They occasionally offer spa specials that include a specific amount of time in the rainforest, but they never enforce the time. However, unless your spa treatment specifically says a "day" in the rainforest, it won't let you come back. It will be associated with the spa time only.

If you buy a "day pass" you can come and go as much that day as you wish.

To poster who asked about luggage at MCO--
You put your cruise tags on the luggage before you leave your home airport and you will next see them in your cabin on the ship. Do this ONLY if you are going from home airport to the cruise. If you are going to WDW first...or to your cousin's house or whatever, do not put the cruise tags on!

When you arrive at MCO, you do not claim your luggage. You go directly to the Disney Welcome center, lower level terminal B. The largest part of the Welcome Center is the Magical Express desk, but one end is for DCL. They will scan your baggage claim checks and direct you to the appropriate bus.

You do the same thing for Magical Express--jut put the ME tags on your bags and proceed to check in for the bus. You CAN claim your luggage if you wish; just take it with you to the desk. After ME failed to deliver one of my cases for several days, I started claiming my own. Now it depends on our situation. If it's me with one bag, I'll grab it myself. That way, I know that it got to Disney.

Mike and Nick...we use the same TA. They are great.

I don't remember the whole discussion about availability for this cruise, but I just checked the travel agents portal for DCL. The Inside categories are not available, but all other categories that TAs can book online (9 - 4) are available.

No, I'm not calling them to check on Cat. 3, 2, and 1 unless you pay me :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Krisann, Praying all will be resolved and Aaron will be fine. Take Care

No 3in 1 sheets here, I threw them away, Don't even use dryer sheets much anymore, too many spots on the balck tshirts.

I'm just gonna over apack and forget the laundry room! Maybe pay to press stuff that is to wrinkled from being:rotfl: crushed!

...Is there a reason why people decided not to use the sheets???? I just bought a package of the sheets from walmart, but I'm not sure if there was something bad about them that people didn't like....

I used them for our Hawaii trip in January - did have spotting on dark clothes during one wash, then no problems for 3+ weeks. The spots were not there before the wash...

we are headed to the hopsital - they are admitting aaron - he got bit by a spider yesterday...Krisann

You say your family has a pattern of "accidents" before vacations - but he had the injury last trip. Hope he is better - and nothing else before you get back from Europe!

...The shoes I am bringing are somewhat open toe. If I can get away with no hose - I'd gladly not bring them. ...

I'm less concerned about that little seam on the toes (although it is noticeable) than what your legs look like. And are you wearing a long or short dress? How much leg are you showing? :goodvibes

Not on this cruise:) but I am on the Med following....I did just spring for a pair of leopard prints that don't match my formal but I love them. If you see some crazy lady wearing leopard stillettos to the pool that will be me, getting as much use out of them as possible . ...

Good thing she is not on this cruise - cougars and a leopard at the same watering hole? :scared1:

...I was worried about open toes at the cathedrals...

When looking up info on proper attire for the Vatican, there was a discussion on flip-flops. Apparently, it is the shoulders, stomach and knees that are the human body parts that need to be hidden. There are no fashion police when it comes to tightness of pants or foot coverings. And no one even mentioned the pre-Vatican II head covering. :littleangel:

I have an entire package of the purex 3-in-1 sheets - never opened. I can bring that for anyone who wants it. I'm not going to use it.

Kristi

:thumbsup2 I'll hold off for that deal. Thanks.

I have used the purex sheete for about a year and have not had any problems.

We are at the hospital and wi be here overnight. Thank you for all the well wishes. I have to read dis from my bb and it is hard. Guess I am addicted.

How much leg are you showing?

Okay, now you've got my attention! :cool1:

BTW - DW and I stopped into the local Disney Store last night. They still have a large selection of adult size, Disney theme t-shirts for $8 each. Someone previously thought about buying some gneric Disney t-shirts, then adding a DCL or TransAtlantic iron-on to the non-decorated side. Very nice Disney designs ... and cheap! How many times do say Disney and CHEAP in the same sentence?

Did some retail therapy today. Got some tops for dinner. Also found a dress for dinner at Palo. Still have some more in my system (like a new pair of shoes) and need to get my hair cut, but it's coming along.

I am ready for some shopping too. I really want another pair of khaki capris from Loft but they don't have any out just yet, I guess it's too early in the season. I also would like some new shoes....wait, I always want new shoes! ;)

I have had the understanding for the past couple of years that if you are wearing open toe shoes then you don't wear hose.

Is this your understanding too?

The shoes I am bringing are somewhat open toe. If I can get away with no hose - I'd gladly not bring them. What are your opinions? What about formal and Palo night? Would I really stand out if I'm not wearing hose?

I hate hose and think they are the work of MEN (probably Steve and Terry :rotfl2:) who don't have to wear them.

Just a reminder that everyone has a right to their opinion and you will not hurt my feelings if you tell me I'm a freak if I don't wear hose. :goodvibes

Thanks,
Kristi

Hi Kristi, I pretty much never wear hose. Maybe it's a generational thing but unless I was going to church or in a conservative office environment, I wouldn't wear them. I do think tights are cute but I would only wear those during wintertime. I'm sorry but everyone will see a lot of leg from me!

Kristi, no need to pack hose. No one will notice. ;)

I was worried about open toes at the cathedrals. :confused3 I am going today to find comfortable closed toe cute flats for when we're running to catch the train in Cadiz. ;)

You can wear open toed shoes in cathedrals no problem - I've done this several times at the Vatican. The trouble is covering your shoulders and also making sure your hemline is long enough to go to your knees. Toes are okay!

We are at the hospital and wi be here overnight. Thank you for all the well wishes. I have to read dis from my bb and it is hard. Guess I am addicted.

Yikes! That really stinks Krisann! I hope your son is comfortable & gets well soon. :flower3:

Good to know! Thanks :thumbsup2

My new shoes:

Easy Spirit, on sale, plus buy a 2nd pair for half price, so I got them in taupe also. Feel like I'm walking on a cloud! Figured since I'm in jeans or black cotton slacks most of the time I really needed black 'sneakers'. Plus I like that they have no obvious logo on them. :thumbsup2

I am bringing open toed shoes and a couple pairs of black tights. If I can get away without wearing the tights though I'd be happy. Of course I may blind someone with my white legs without the tights :rotfl: Guess I better keep putting the self tanner on before we go.
