I have spent several hours looking for our FE :headache: to no avail. I have found several items that I have not seen since we moved her last summer though. :rolleyes1I may have to make a new if I can not find out where we stashed it for the move.:guilty:

My new shoes:

Easy Spirit, on sale, plus buy a 2nd pair for half price, so I got them in taupe also. Feel like I'm walking on a cloud!

If you pay full price, do you get the other shoe? Sorry, I cound not resist!

--Did you take it with you when you last left the ship? :scared1:

Stephanie, is that Brooklyn on the cover of the 2010 DVC book? The girl looks just like her!

Not unless she is in a Halloween costume.... ;) That is the last Disney job that she did. She will be 2 of the Fairies from the Tinkerbell Movie for the largest costume distributor this year. Can't wait to see when those pictures come out! :cool1:

I would be interested to see it. There is a girl who we know and her and Brooklyn look almost identical. People get the two of them mixed up all the time. It is funny because people will call them the wrong names when we are on set.

.

I just got back home from a shopping trip. I went to DSW and bought four pair! I always buy 2 pair of sneakers each year for work but I hardly ever buy any other kind. My feet are very hard to fit. And big as boats! :lmao: So I was really surprised to find so many that I liked well enough to buy.

Did you say you had started packing? I always keep my FE in my suitcase so I know where it is for the next time we go... That's the perfect excuse for another one but you better get crackin'! We'll be leaving before you know it! :yay: :woohoo:  :dance3:

I've not only started ... I'm almost finished! I need to sew some new buttons on the vest for my tux and then pack it .... DONE. :woohoo:

Normally I keep the things for the cruises in one place  but we moved last summer and things got "filed" somewhere we haven't found ... yet. :headache:

Does anyone know who the cruise director is going to be on the EBTA. Last year when we cruised on the Magic, it was Brent. We did not interact much with him, however our dining head server was Yolande, I believe his wife, and she was wonderful. Just curious.:)

Boy, you're a fast worker! You'll probably find it when you're looking for something like Christmas ornaments. :rotfl2:

Thought I'd post some recent photos of us from our day trip to the Flower & Garden Show.

we are headed to the hopsital - they are admitting aaron - he got bit by a spider yesterday.

Krisann

I hope Aaron is ok!!!

I have had the understanding for the past couple of years that if you are wearing open toe shoes then you don't wear hose.

Is this your understanding too?

The shoes I am bringing are somewhat open toe. If I can get away with no hose - I'd gladly not bring them. What are your opinions? What about formal and Palo night? Would I really stand out if I'm not wearing hose?

I hate hose and think they are the work of MEN (probably Steve and Terry :rotfl2:) who don't have to wear them.

Just a reminder that everyone has a right to their opinion and you will not hurt my feelings if you tell me I'm a freak if I don't wear hose. :goodvibes

Thanks,
Kristi

Kristi- I rarely EVER wear hose. I wouldn't worry about it! I might bring a pair of black tights, but that's it. Otherwise I'm barelegging it.

Krisann, I am just catching up after a day away from the DIS boards. I am so sorry to hear this. Our prayers go to Aaron for a quick and easy recovery and to you for peace as you wait.

To any of our Disfriends who are dealing with any personal loss, illness, or extreme stress of any kind (and I'm sure there are more than will post about it here), you have my sincere sympathy, positive thoughts, and hope that all will be better soon. How awful that these things are happening during what should be such an exciting time for us all.

My mother, who lives 1000 miles away from me, was taken to the ER yesterday after someone checked her blood pressure and it was extremely high (as in ready-to-stroke high). HTN runs in the family and is not a new issue for her, but she is not consistent with seeing a dr. and refilling meds. AAARRRGGG! And she is an active, well-educated person. She was fine after receiving treatment and now has a drs. appt. scheduled Tuesday, but I told her she'd better not plan anything dramatic, because we ARE going on this trip and we WILL miss her funeral if necessary! Of course, she knows I'm kidding, but.......

Krisann, is Aaron in J. Gen? That's where my mom spent her 4 hrs. in the ER. Thankfully, kids are especially resilient.

On a lighter note, I promise not to stop, stare, or loudly "out" anyone who isn't wearing hose! Make peace with your paleness!

All documents finally received, most shopping done, happy, happy.

yes we are in Jackson General - in the "old" section but it is fine - we have a private room and they are allowing both me and my daughter to stay the night in the room. Aaron's hand is still swelling - not sure when they will do something - or at what point.

I have to keep going on a walk to keep my senses - it is not like I can send him to Ocean Quest or I can escape to the spa :) but the room is small, with no view and no room service!

When I was on the Magic in February Brent said he would be on the EBTA. I lot of the dining crew were leaving for vacation and returning April 24th.

Oh yikes. Hang in there. Hopefully they will at least give him an antihistamine?? We have some allergic folks in our family & that at least stops the swelling. Sending good thoughts & prayers your way..must be scary stuff not knowing what's happening! :flower3:

So sorry about your mom. Prayer for a speedy recovery, and good follow-up!!! :flower3:

My mom is 89 and I just pray each time I leave that she will be fine.....and this time we are gone for 5 weeks!! I think we just have to trust that everything & everyone will be fine while we are gone or we would be afraid to plan. So far so good, lol. :wizard:

I have visions of you organizing the nurses' stations! :lmao: Boy, he'd better get out of there quickly, or they won't know what hit 'em! Seriously, hospitals are the worst (not the personnel, just being "stuck"). Hope you get some rest tonight.
