Weigh in folks - "OPEN (stateroom) HOUSE" or "ESCORTED TOUR" (we're walking, we're walking . . . ). Wishes of the those opening their "homes" should be foremost.

I'm w/ Dee on this one. Now, if I stayed put with folks dropping in for an hour or so, I guess And, Lynn, somehow my (upgraded from 7) Cat. 4, Deck 8 never made the leap with Mrs. Gumdrops. I'm glad someone else stepped up with the Cat. 7 (navigator's verandah), since there's so few, and they're worth seeing.
Now, to work the passenger list and get us one of each of the suites:banana:

My vote is Escorted

My vote is Escorted

My suggestion is two tours escorted....one starting w/ the highest cat and going down and the second starting w/ cat 12 and working up....this way as folks rooms are seen/visited...they can follow the rest of the tour up or down :)

Happy New Grandbaby! Thossink and DW

Here is a trivia question. In the Tigger movie what is the name of the bounce that Roo learned from Tigger that saved Tigger at the end of the movie.

I'm so worried about weight, with having to do only ONE bag p/p coming home...ugh. But maybe I will go as an evil queen, lol, in my usual BLACK!!

:upsidedow

Black is easier to pack w/ for shoes, um evil shoes I mean.

It is amzaing what all you can get into a rolling dufflebag and I have been packing into packing cubes and I will put some of those in also.

Ok my formal night I will most likely have the same dress - it is a black skirt with a white top - only difference is I will have a tiera for the princess night - and i hope nobody thinks evil when they see me!

Krisann

Where did you find your packing cubes? I think we might need another set of just the larger size but the ones online (Rick Steves) are so darned expensive, I'm hesitant to buy them.

Also, I think adding a tiara to a black dress definitely makes it more princess than evil queen!

As for my princess dress: I bought it at a consignment shop a few years ago, and have been eagerly looking forward to wearing it. It is so cool. Probably 10 pounds worth of sequins! Awesome. And I only paid $12! You will all be in awe of me, I promise!
Ann

On the subject of princess dresses - I'll probably leave my black at home. I love my black dress and if it is evil queen, it is sexy evil queen, but it has a beaded neckline and is quite heavy so I think it's out. ;)

I like the togetherness  of the escorted tour plan.

Baggage allowances obviously depend on your airline...but I'm allowed one 50 pound checked bag and one 40 pound carry on....I trust (but don't know for sure) that I'm allowed one "personal item" as well.

I've been on one stateroom tour where we had everything from a cat 1 to a cat 12 including HA rooms and sideways rooms. We did it as a group basically, and set a time frame out of respect for the people who were letting us see their cabins. We traveled as a pack mostly, but obviously the small cabins didn't allow 100 people at the same time. By the same logic, those were the cabins that didn't take as long for us to "check out." It started as a group, but as some hung a little longer in some places, ended up as more of an "open house" with a stated ending time. We started at cat 1 and worked down. Obviously, people dropped out as some weren't interested in seeing some categories. It worked well to have both the group and the ending time.....

What I accomplished today in preparation--put gym membership on hold for month of April (no point in paying for a month when I might be there twice! Will have fitness center access at WDW and on ship.

Found the rest of my undies! I took a trip in early February. Dirty clothes came home in one suitcase, clean in another. Due to a broken arm, the clean clothes suitcase was put aside to be unpacked when it was easier. For the last month I've been trying to figure out where certain clothing was. Yeah, it was all there.

I said I fail to move info - and this list is a complete redo a few days ago - if you said you'd volunteer during the Upgrade Utopia, that list got accidentally deleted. :rolleyes1

Who's up for opening your cabin?

If you volunteered and don't see it here, remind me to put it on the list.

...Could I have Bound for Barcelona with "Karen" and "Lorrie" printed on it? ...

Lynne I think "Yvet" has offered up her category 12 ( see post#1475 pg99 ). I'm so excited to have this opportunity to see all of the categories!! Thanks in Advance to everyone for inviting us "voyuers" into your "home" :yay:!

He He He... I did a search :surfweb: of the thread for "cabin tours" and found a few that I hadn't included on the list. Then I snuck in and edited my last posting of volunteers and added Yvet while you were typing your post. :rotfl:
