CLUE for TRIVIA QUESTION

Question: What do YOU think is the most technologically advanced area / object / device / area / *thing* on the Disney Magic?

CLUES:
1) Is is not a human being
2) It never leaves the ship, not even during dry-dock
3) It is ALSO on the Disney Wonder
4) It has been on the Disney Magic since it's 1998 Inaugural Cruise
5) It is NOT located on Deck 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 or 10
6) There is only ONE on each ship.

MAJOR clue to be posted 3/17!
========================
3/16/10: Here are the guesses submitted so far ... pay CLOSE attention to my responses (in red) to the previously posted guesses :confused3

1) I would think something on the bridge or engine room but that is to obvious. Sorry, guess again
2) Hmmm i think the computer game where you can be at the bridge in the kids club. Sorry, guess again
3) this is a guess...but I had a tour of the bridge and the navigation/auto pilot system that guided the boat was pretty darn impressive. Sorry, guess again
4) ... maybe it is a conveyor belt in the kitchen or the plumbing for all I know
5) I'm going to guess that it's the water filtration system - to turn seawater into drinking water? Sorry, guess again
6) My husband's guess is that it's something to do with the productions onboard - the stage or lighting. Stage or lighting? Sorry, guess again
7) I would have to think one of the shows/theaters. NO COMMENT (hint, hint)
8) I am going to guess the stabilizers? Sorry, guess again
9) Is it the stage that rotates and goes up and down? Sorry, guess again
10) Is it the 3d theater? Sorry, guess again

Experienced DCL cruisers ... feel free to post as well!

Well I'll guess that the Magic and Wonder have the first 3D cinemas at sea.

Wouldn't you know that after reading every single post since Jan. 19th, NOW you all get around to talking about graphics programs!!!!!

Just now I received "Pixelmator" so that I can try to do some magnets for my door. I mean I just got back from picking up at my mailbox. If only I had heard about Photoshop Essentials 4 days ago!

I've been an Apple person since I learned on an Apple IIe decades ago and now have an Imac. I purchased it as my present to myself when I retired but I don't have Photoshop which is what I always used before and didn't think I could afford now. Just Saturday I decided to bite the bullet and buy something for graphics. From the Apple site I pick Pixelmator. I have no idea if that's what I need but it looked good and the price was right. Now I'm thinking I should buy Photoshop essentials. Darn!:confused3

It just goes to show how much info is on this board. If you can wait long enough all your answers can be found here.

Can I use the one in your signature - with DH and my names, of course?

Where is the "Graphics" page?? Please!

Here are your name tags and a blank:

0001Ad.jpg
0001M1.jpg

I've changed the color background of the name tags because the white on navy seems to show up better from a distance - and it matches the logo better.

The white box around Minnie doesn't show up on the name tags (Word program) - but it does on iPhoto.

If this is not what you are looking for, let me know.

The Graphics page is on the external website (accessible by clicking on my username on my posts or by the http: link which is found in my signature box-when I display that or in Post 1, Page 1 of this thread.

Let me consolidate some dates in the next few days and I can let you know what dates might work for stateroom tour. I think 2 days with a leader sounds great, personally.

This is an issue for me too. I'd love to bring a long poufy dress, but I think I'll probably go with something that weighs a lot less. I'll be holding up my formal dresses to the "weight test" and whichever 2 are the lightest (and can be worn w/ the same shoes) will be the ones that I bring.

The only thing is that I don't want to wear black on princess night...I guess I feel like black is more evil queen than princess :maleficen

Since our formal wear is bulky but not heavy - we will be using a rolling duffle with the zip out bottom. The bottom we will put all our shoes - and then in the main part all the fluffy stuff :) I am planning on having it pressed when we get there. It is amzaing what all you can get into a rolling dufflebag and I have been packing into packing cubes and I will put some of those in also.

So here is what our baggage looks like:

Child 1 - Ashlyn
bugout backpack
4 wheeled - carry on size suitcase
small backpack - "personal item"

Child 2 - Aaron
bugout backpack
mickey mouse 4 wheel carry on size suitcase
small backpack - "personal item"

Me - Krisann
bugout backpack
Porter Case (can be carried on)
purse or small backpack as "personal item"

DH - Ashley
bugout backpack
computer case
rolling duffle
Mickey suitcase with FE stuff

Now going to MCO we each can check 2 bags for N/C so the bugouts and the suitcases will be checked - except for hubby - he will use his bug as carry on item.

When we come back from europe still not sure how many bags we are allowed (1 or 2) because not sure who is in control of the bag allowance - so if we are only allowed 1, we will each check one bag and carry on the other (which will have room in it for our small backpack/personal item) just in case.

If I have to pay for one bag no biggie - just considering it the cost of flying - don't like it but would rather have the clothes with me.

I'm so worried about weight, with having to do only ONE bag p/p coming home...ugh. But maybe I will go as an evil queen, lol, in my usual BLACK!!

:upsidedow

Ok my formal night I will most likely have the same dress - it is a black skirt with a white top - only difference is I will have a tiera for the princess night - and i hope nobody thinks evil when they see me!

I don't think I'm in charge of this, but, I'll just keep posting this every now and then:

I deleted the list of upgrades from the website, and just realized it had info on who was willing to open their cabins for tours. And if we get enough volunteers, perhaps we can utilize 2 cabins per category to keep the traffic down. ?

Who's up for opening your cabin?

If you volunteered and don't see it here, remind me to put it on the list.

Hey Lynne,
I thought I remembered that dertoyou had volunteered her HA with the oversized veranda. I sure hope so - I long to see one of those. Any chance, Katrina? And I thought mommyto3princesses at one point talked about opening up her cat. 3. Maybe her dh dissuaded her....

As for my princess dress: I bought it at a consignment shop a few years ago, and have been eagerly looking forward to wearing it. It is so cool. Probably 10 pounds worth of sequins! Awesome. And I only paid $12! You will all be in awe of me, I promise!
Ann

Wow, Lynne
Could I have Bound for Barcelona with "Karen" and "Lorrie" printed on it? Thanks, I've got to figure out how to do this myself but until then I appreciate your talent. Karen

That would be CRUELLA if they did! Oh, will your hair be black and white? How many dalmations do you have? :rotfl:

Ahaha me too! But at my age I'm thinking 'no' to the tiara. :hippie:

Now there's a great idea! I actually have a cruella wig....and cigarette holder that has a bubble gum ciggie in it.....

CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR WINNER - RBCHEEK, who correctly guessed ANIMATOR'S PALETTE!

...
Okay, who can think of another Disney or DCL TIDBIT, to be used as a Trivia Q?

YAY, I'm a wienner....

Okay, here's one..
Disney made one animated movie with only one song in it and that song was dedicated to the movie's villian.

Name the movie and the song.

I received an e-mail from DVC earlier today ... included a nice graphic representation of Aqua Duck (Disney Dream). I am posting here, in case anyone would like a copy for their own files. If you would like me to e-mail it to you, please send me a PM.

Weigh in folks - "OPEN (stateroom) HOUSE" or "ESCORTED TOUR" (we're walking, we're walking . . . ). Wishes of the those opening their "homes" should be foremost.

I'm w/ Dee on this one. Now, if I stayed put with folks dropping in for an hour or so, I guess And, Lynn, somehow my (upgraded from 7) Cat. 4, Deck 8 never made the leap with Mrs. Gumdrops. I'm glad someone else stepped up with the Cat. 7 (navigator's verandah), since there's so few, and they're worth seeing.
Now, to work the passenger list and get us one of each of the suites:banana:

That'd be me and ABSOLUTELY (though I should mention that we call DD "The Evil Twin" for a reason :rotfl2:)... It's funny - my parents are local and see the kids all the time and are already fretting over how they are going to survive 2 whole weeks without their fix. They are a handful but I love this age! My DS asks every day if it's time to go to "da Mickey Boat."

I'll look forward to meeting your kids.

Mine take turns being the "Evil Twin". Fortunately, they've never both assumed the role at the same time. I,too, live close and usually go over to my daughter's house after work to play with them while she gets dinner together. She's about 4 minutes from where I work. This afternoon we met at the park across the street. Thank goodness the weather is getting better.
