T:donald:

Congrats! We Have 8 Granbabies 2 girls & 6 boys from 1 to 19 and 1 Great grandchild. Just aren't enough good things to say about being a Grandparent. We will be childless on this cruise but we also will enjoy watching the other children on the trip We are planning a 3 day in Sept. with all of our family. :yay::yay::yay:

It's looking like a purchased graphic package is needed - but then I didn't realize that iLife had a website built-in, either. Maybe that's where I should be looking!

My old program crashed so I am back to using MSpaint

Well I'll have to look at what's built into my Mac too and between the two of us maybe we'll find something we didn't know we had.

Finally, I'm back. My desktop took a turn for the worst and we pulled the plug. Didn't matter, as power supply was no longer functional. I have new computer up and running and have finally caught up the 50+ pages I was behind. DH was keeping up on his laptop, but my desktop is for my business, too. So, I had to get things up and running before I could spend any time on the boards. Wow, a lot has happened in the last week on here. I will be thinking of some questions for you all!

What day is the room tour supposed to happen... I can't keep up (darn work) :)

That is the QOTD. Thought about Sea Day 3. Sea Day 6 means we might have a better idea of who are these people traipsing through my room.

Once we decide on a day, should we have a sign up of people interested in going? Just so we know if we need 2 rooms or not? I really have no idea how a tour works... I'd also like to see just how blocked a window is - is that a secret porthole room? Know what I'm talking about?

I'll have a few formalish dresses. For some reason, I seem to have no casual dresses, so I'll be wearing either formalwear or slacks to dinner! My poofy dress is hot pink, and when I tried it on this weekend it looked so cute- I really want to find a place for it in the luggage!

Okay, I'm convinced I won't be the only adult wearing a big poofy princess dress. I'm definetely bringing by royal blue poofy gown and my less poofy periwinkle dress for the two formal nights. Now I have no idea what to bring for semi-formal night. I'm tempted to bring my other formal dress which is a navy color. It's still formal, but less "dramatic". I might be "overdressed", but I'll look fabulous. Then I have to think about what to bring for the night at Palo..... I love my formal dresses, and I only get to wear them on cruises. So it is hard to narrow down the choices, and I haven't even gone shopping yet.

So I might be wearing formalwear every night at this rate!

Lynne,

I have a probably stupid question. I am wanting to make some magnets for our door on the cruise. Can I use any of the graphics within people's posts without any copyright problems? Like yours with your name on it (I would take your name off, though!). I just want to make sure before I step on any toes.

:confused3

I thought that you'd said you had a Mac though. Do they have Word for a Mac? I'm very new to owning a Mac so I pretty much know how to look at my pictures, use iTunes, and go online.

I'm a "lifetime" Mac user lol, but have to confess I'm not familiar with the new built-ins or iLife. :confused3

I always liked using Photoshop, but now use Photoshop Elements because it is faster & the learning curve is better! The thing with Macs is they could always handle these intuitive programs, but I understand PCs are catching up & the programs are all available for them now too. PE is the absolute easiest with my system & a lot of fun.

I'm impressed anyone could get such precision with Word, so good to know!!!

:surfweb:

That'd be me and ABSOLUTELY (though I should mention that we call DD "The Evil Twin" for a reason :rotfl2:)... It's funny - my parents are local and see the kids all the time and are already fretting over how they are going to survive 2 whole weeks without their fix. They are a handful but I love this age! My DS asks every day if it's time to go to "da Mickey Boat."

I loved that age when DS18 was 3!!! They are old enough to understand so much and so much fun. I mourn his childhood sometimes, lol, and so look forward to the grandparent thing....but maybe after college!!!!!!

:goodvibes

I don't think I'm in charge of this, but, I'll just keep posting this every now and then:

CABIN TOURS

Cat 1 Walt/Roy Disney Suites
Cat 2 Suite 2 bedroom w/Verandah
Cat 3 Suite 1 bedroom w/Verandah
Cat 4 Family w/Verandah - Mrs. Gumdrop Deck 8
Cat 5 Verandah (Deck 7) - KrisannB
Cat 6 Verandah (Deck 6) - Donaldcp98 - Deck 6
Cat 7 Navigator’s Verandah - MikeandNick - Deck 7
Cat 8 Deluxe Oceanview - joius24 - Deck 5
Cat 9 Deluxe Oceanview - Happy Goofy & sdlong329 - Deck 2
Cat 10 Deluxe Inside
Cat 11 Inside - stlkeeler & ilovedale3 - Deck 6
Cat 12 Inside
Cat any Sideways
Cat any Handicapped (I'd love to see one w/Verandah)

I deleted the list of upgrades from the website, and just realized it had info on who was willing to open their cabins for tours. And if we get enough volunteers, perhaps we can utilize 2 cabins per category to keep the traffic down. ?

Who's up for opening your cabin?

If you volunteered and don't see it here, remind me to put it on the list.

We are willing to let you people take a sneak peak into our stateroom cat 12.

This is an issue for me too. I'd love to bring a long poufy dress, but I think I'll probably go with something that weighs a lot less. I'll be holding up my formal dresses to the "weight test" and whichever 2 are the lightest (and can be worn w/ the same shoes) will be the ones that I bring.

The only thing is that I don't want to wear black on princess night...I guess I feel like black is more evil queen than princess :maleficen

I'm so worried about weight, with having to do only ONE bag p/p coming home...ugh. But maybe I will go as an evil queen, lol, in my usual BLACK!!

:upsidedow

Don't laugh - MS Word 2004 - no graphics program, just word processing. One day I'm going to discover that I had a graphics program built into this computer and I will be very sad that I fought with that Word program trying to align stuff.

Get Adobe Photoshop Elements :surfweb: It is a very good program and is inexpensive. You might even be able to find an older version at a very good price.

Most of the graphics are available on the DISBoards and other websites. :surfweb: As long as you are not using the file to make money and you ask the person then it is usually not a problem.

:grouphug:

I'll share anything that I have with you. Let me know if there is anything in particular you are looking for.

Yep, I like that one too! So easy & yes, inexpensive. I have an older version, like 2.0 or something, and it does lots of stuff & has some pre-set designs you can use too. It used to be really time consuming doing the layers manually in the full blown Photoshop.

That is the QOTD. Thought about Sea Day 3. Sea Day 6 means we might have a better idea of who are these people traipsing through my room.

You know I was just thinking (and maybe I don't understand the tour thing completely so this could sound totally stupid but...) anyway what about doing it on two different days. Maybe half one day and half another. That way people aren't overwhelmed with seeing 15 different cabins. And the people that are showing cabins can get a chance to see some as well.:confused3
