Well, your checked in luggage will be taken to the ship earlier in the morning. Your day bags can be stored with Bell Service until you are ready to board the bus -- give them ~ 5 minutes to retrieve it. Go to the pool if the weather is nice :)

Don't the resorts take care of getting your luggage to the ship like the Hyatt does? We just leave our bags outside our door and they show up outside our cabin.

Excellent! :thumbsup2 One less thing to worry about. Thanks for the info Dee and Linda.

Thanks everyone for posting the pic. I took the easy way out and linked it through facebook instead of saving it on my own.

Is there a carry on limit, getting on the ship? Or is it as long as you can get it to the xray machine and it fits through, you're okay?

Im thinking a case of pop or 2, some wine etc. brought on a pull wheels thingy, and then separated for the xray and then put it back together on the wheels....

Thanks
Eleasa

As long as it fits thru the xray thing AND you realize that you need to cart it around w/ you (as the rooms won't be ready until 130pm) then you're good to go!! :thumbsup2

I plan on bringing some adult beverage bottles & several books in my ship carry-on (things that will NOT be returning w/ me) :goodvibes

I was told to pack the wine then take it out of my bag in the airport (in FL) then put it in my carry on. Does anyone know why I have to take it out of my bag? Maybe now I should sinec you all know my cabin number and can raid my bags:laughing:

I would rather ship the wine ahead if possible...

Kristi-----

Good luck with the MRI tomorrow; I have had quite a few so understand what you're going through. I always try to focus on scenes in my mind and keep my eyes closed. I too take some meds for the procedure. Let us know how it goes.

Today's went ok. Things went smoothly this time. :thumbsup2 - now to get through the two next week.

Thanks to all who thought of me.

Do you have to open something special to export to a PDF? I am sure that makes sense but I have never done anything like that. :confused3

You choose the File menu and click Download As, and then choose PDF. A new small box will open up and then you select Current Sheet, Fit to Width and Landscape and then click Export.

I hope that helps!

Lori1035 is from LA.

I spent 45 minutes stirring a roux to achieve that caramel-colored peanut butter consistency and NOT burn it, but, man, that's a lot of work. Makes you appreciate a good gumbo. Congrats on expanding your culinary repertoire :thumbsup2

Yes, the roux can be a pain to get perfect. Unbelievably, a lot of folks around here use those little jars of pre-made roux. Cuts down on a lot of time. :guilty:

Lori

My Aunt made a chicken gumbo for me in 2004 using the pre-made roux. Dang it was good. Wish I could make it, but I live in Florida and can't get her brand (Dugats or something like that) of roux. She lives in Texas near where the roux is made.

A friend made a jambalaya (poss gumbo) from the recipe at the back of a mystery book - dang that was good too! Woman who writes the book series lives in New Orleans.

Anyway, I couldn't make my own roux if I tried. I am not a cook so any shortcuts are greatly appreciated. I'm sure the homemade roux is better though.

Kristi - who appreciates the hard work cooks do so I don't have to :rotfl:

I realized that I didn't repost the list of Palo Pals Dinner participants. As you can see, we just made it into the private room.

We still have room for two more if anyone is interested as the room can hold 14. If so, please understand that if you have booked a private Palo dinner, you will lose that reservation due to the group reservation. That and you have to be at least 18 years old.

As we've had some new people join the group since the list was first submitted, I thought I would ask.

Just let me know if you are interested.

Finally got our docs too!:cool1: Lately, I've been going nuts making magnets for our door... my husband groaned when he heard me to talking to my mom about it on the phone, and told me to keep it to a minumum! Ha! Won't he be surprised when I start plastering our door! :rotfl2:

My Dfamily has no idea about the magnets. SSHHHHH I can't wait to hear the comments from them.
