Just before we checked out of Pop Century yesterday, I booked 2 bounce back vacation stays!!

Let me back up to Wednesday, May 25th. We checked into Pop Century and as soon as we walked into the room, this little baby was staring at us.

I resisted the temptation to touch it, right up til the last 10 minutes of our stay. Then I picked it up. Then I picked up the phone. And I started making bounce back reservations! One after the other!! The rates were great!! $68.25 for Pop Century in December!! $106.60 for the weekday nights and $113.10 for the weekend nights for CSR in August!!! (We had already booked a reservation for September at POFQ at a passholder rate.) We have 3 Disney vacations to look forward to!!

And now that's all changed around. Things look like this now...

AUG CSR on bounceback

SEPT Cancelled

OCT CSR on the Oct-Dec Passholder special

NOV Pop Century on the Oct-Dec Passholder special

DEC POFQ on the Oct-Dec Passholder special

Our next weekend trip is Oct 14-17.

In part this weekend was picked when dh got a job transfer in August. This weekend is also very special to us because DIS friends that we had the opportunity to meet on our summer vacation up north will be on their daughter's Lisa, MAW trip. Link to Lisa's MAW trip.

Due to Anakin's Epilepsy and sensory issues, we will mostly be winging it. We do have a few plans though.

Day 1:

Captains Grille for breakfast!! YUM!!! Link to pics of Captain's Grille

50's Prime Time for lunch, but this may be cancelled if we are too full from breakfast.

House of Blues for supper. (This ADR is very important to us. Rachel, Lisa's sister will be performing at HoB!!! Our ADR is for 7:30 and I sure hope we are seated before her performance around 8pm!! Video to how wonderful Rachel is on the guitar can be viewed on blessedmom's PTR linked above!)

Not sure if this will be our one and only time meeting up with blessedmom's family or not. Anakin is very much so looking forward to seeing Lisa and Rachel!! He very quickly formed a bond with them in June.

The Cast:

DH, a newbie Disney addict. He has always loved Disney and we go there all the time. In the past it has been on my nudging, but now he is actively feeding his own addiction to! Since I called him Goofy on the other TR, we'll keep it Goofy.

Me, a Disney addict since my first visit to Epcot (a day trip) in 1986, during a college spring break. I answer to Tink or Michelle.

DS17, he has asked not to get an annual pass this year (his pass runs out June 6, 2011). He would like to find a job in the near future and perhaps work at Disney! We called him Grumpy last TR, it's still appropriate...some days.

DS7, he loves anything Star Wars and anything Lego!! He thinks that it is normal to go to a Disney park once a week, and takes it for granted. In past year's TR's he's been called JJ, but this last TR we called him Anakin. Anakin has a brain lesion which has caused Epilepsy and ASD. Traveling with him presents challeges. He loves going to Disney because it's where he feels special instead of different!

:woohoo: yay I'm first in line :woohoo:

:welcome::welcome: You are first!!

I was shocked that dh went along with 3 trips in the planning!!

It's not luck, we are blessed! We live in central Florida, so there is no plane ride or long gas guzzling road trip to get us here. That saves a huge chunk of vacation money!

I'm so excited for Megan! Have you started a PRT for her surprise?

How funny!!:rotfl2::rotfl2: I was just looking through my reservation and writing them in my calendar when I noticed that my reservation for August is WRONG!! Too bad it wasn't right!!

It has our arrive date as August 26, 2011 and our depart date as Sept 29, 2011 for a grand total of $374.41. Oh how I wish we could stay that long for that little!!

I called Disney reservation and the cm changed it from Sept 29, to Aug 29 for check out.

wow a whole month in WDW would be great though!!!

no I haven't started a PTR for DLR....never have done one for DLR, since we've gone so often, there is really no planning for me, we book and go (we used to live in CA ...at one point only an hour away, so went A LOT, just like you do to WDW!)

I'm here!!!!

That's awesome that you got such a good bounceback! I had nothing in my room - but did get an email that I could save 35% on a Mod resort (only). It won't do as next year, we're going Deluxe. We would have booked with a 35% off Deluxe offer. Oh well. Perhaps we'll get a good public offer. :thumbsup2

Anyway, can't wait to read more!!! :goodvibes

I-4 acting like a parking lot every time there is an accident or construction is a pain. We love the ease of not having to drive home and staying overnight at Disney!! I'm sure the LA traffic is a zillion times worse though.

:welcome::welcome:

That's a bummer that you had nothing in your room! 35% on a moderate would be the same rate on my offer! Recent passholder discounts on mods have been 30%.

There is a 35% off on Deluxe that I got an email for recently. I will check if it's just FL residents or general for you.

Which deluxe are you headed to next time??

We really aren't sure which Deluxe. I'm kind of rooting for AKL or Poly, DH wants BW or GF. But since we will be dragging my dad along, I think I'll let him decide. And its not out of the question to rent someone's points either. I think that if we had a good offer available, we would have booked AKL to reserve it. I'll definitely keep my eyes peeled for offers though. But I really do need to talk to dad to see what he wants to do so we can all stay together. Its his first trip, and he's looking forward to seeing his grandbabies faces light up at every turn. So I want to make sure its as magical for him as possible. :goodvibes

Our first Disney experience was at the Beach Club. It was so nice to walk to Epcot, and we loved Storm-along Bay! Once our son got older we stopped staying there because we didn't like that the entrance to the water slide was across the street. (maybe that's changed over the years?) Our next trip after that was at BWV, it was my mom's first Disney trip. After that it was 2 stays at CSR. After that I lost track which was when. Eventually there were 2 stays at CBR. A half dozen at POR. 3 at SSR. 5 at Pop. 2 at ASMo. 1 at ASMu. 2 at All star sports. And one more stay at CSR.

Hi I have a Big question!!!
We are hoping to go back to Disney this yr or at least by March! and then i know we will be going bk with our kids for 2 wks at some point in that next yr, My question is with the Bounceback offer do you have to pay for the holiday when you book it with the bounce back in full right at that time? (may be a stupid question but coming from England you never know how this will work )
Or do you just book the date with a deposit ?? I really want to take up any great offer Disney has if their is a bounce back when we go on our 1ST Adult only holiday so i can take the kids a few months after (the guilt will kill me )
Any Congrats on the 3 holidays very Jealous!

:welcome::welcome: Hello to you on the other side of the pond!

This was a room only discount this time. I had to pay 1 night's lodging in advance. The remainder is due at check-in, and can cancel up to 5 days prior.

I am so jealous of all your Disney stays! We'd love to do a resort that connects to Storm Along Bay! It looks really cool! I think if we had to do a Mod next year to stay in budget, it would be POFQ. Granted, I think that if we had to stick to that tight of a budget, we'd get a condo off site instead.

So far, out of the 3 resorts we've stayed at, CBR is my fave. Can't wait to add more experiences though! :goodvibes

That would be either the Yacht or Beach Club. The only thing I don't like about those Epcot deluxes, is the lack of a food court or some kind of quick service. The Poly, GF, Contemporary on the monorail loop all have a counter service to grab a quick bite. I really like the Mara at AKL, but my dh does not. Never ate at the counter service at the WL, but the all you can drink milkshakes at Whispering Canyon are always a draw!

Do you think it would be difficult to adjust to off property?

Have you ever stayed at POFQ? Sept will be our first stay there.

Dh and I had set out at one time to stay at all the resorts, but we got stuck on favorites. At least FQ is a new one for us!

I'd like to try some restaurants we've never been to, as well. Both on property and off property.

Three trips???? I am so jealous.

I just want to know...can I be Anakin's adopted sister?

Lol.

But my 3 trips probably come to the same amount of nights as your 1 trip. Aug it's 3 nights, Sept it's 3 night and Dec 2 nights.

We would be okay without a QS place on property ... and I dunno if I could adjust to off-site or not. We've been off-site these past two days, and survived ... but I will have to take into account not being driven around everywhere if we did it. So we'd have to factor in parking and extra gas into our budget. We don't really do the EMH's, so we'd be okay with that ... but I'd miss the DDP. It's lots to consider, but I'd rather stay off-site and eat cheaper than not go at all if finances are an issue.

We've only stayed ASMovies, CBR, and CSR. 2009 was our first trip, so still lacking in experience, but trying to remedy that. :thumbsup2

This year, I was pushing for FQ, but DH really liked POR until he saw CSR and then he insisted. I didn't argue, because I was just thankful to be upgrading. :lmao:

We've tried to focus on new experiences - resort and food wise. But I have a feeling that when we find the special resort that just screams to us, we won't be able to stay anywhere else. And we HAVE to eat at WGP's every year - its our tradition. So we try to eat new places for the rest of our meals.
