Bounceback vs AP Rates

Well, now I'm faced with a dilemma. Do I take advantage of the 30% (mod/deluxe) bounceback rate for this Nov/Dec when I arrive at AKL in a couple of days (assuming it's still available) or do I wait until mid August when hopefully the AP rates for that time frame are announced.

Does anyone have a little more historical experience or could you look into your crystal ball and take an educated guess on whether or not the AP rates for the Nov/Dec period could be greater than the current 30% bounceback discount. Since it's so far off, I realize I could cancel and switch the ressie but I was hoping to take advantage of a discounted flight that will match my dates exactly. Unfortunately, I can't economically switch the flight dates.

Book the bounceback. If a better rate comes out, you can always change your reservation. Better to have the discount at 30%, than to wait and find out the bounceback deal was better than the AP rate. "A bird in the hand.." and all that.
