We are going down to the BC later this month and am hoping to get a good deal on a return trip in January... and possibly another trip since we have the APs this year!

We were there 7/15-7/25 and the BB was 35% off deluxes through dates ending in Dec 2012. There was nothing for 2013 yet.

That would make me SOOOOO happy! We will be at the BC from 8/23 - 8/28 and I'd love to get a deal on our January trip!!

MamaMoose... They are not for just your current resort. In fact, it seems like they do it to encourage you to move up a step from your current resort. We were staying at CSR in December and booked a BB for Beach Club in August. 18 days till we are floating on noodles in SAB!

We'll be arriving at WDW for 11 days starting the 20th of this month, and were already hoping to see an offer in the room. We have gotten one, either free dining, which we love, or a room discount every single trip for the past 7, so here's hoping!

Subscribing to this as well just to follow along until we actually get there. Just two weeks to go!!!!

The poster was saying that if you are travelling in August or September, the typical BB offer is a FD deal for the following Aug/Sept. If you were travelling in october, November or December, then you would likely get a BB offer with several 2013 dates. That is the normal pattern, anyway. It isn't that you would only get something for the same time of year, just that the FD BB offer is generally offered for those timeframes.

I'm currently staying at the Polynesian and there are no bouncebacks right now. I confirmed this with the front desk. I was told the latest Bounceback offer ended on July 31. Don't know when the next Bounceback will be offered.

Last year we stayed at the Contemporary club level last December. There was no bounce back offer in the room. We asked at the desk and they said there was no bounce back offers available. I posted on this board and some one suggested to call the special bounce back phone number. I can't remember what that number is (I am sure another DISer will be able to tell you). Sure enough, there was a bounce back and we got 35% off on our upcoming stay in October. Good luck.

Last year it began on August 8. I'd call extension 8844 from your resort room to check everyday until you leave.

Yes, smitch425 is correct about what I was trying to say. These BB are surely confusing

The BB that is usually in the resort rooms beginning the first part of August (until it expires sometime in Oct/Nov) is for FD for next years FD dates. Like this one from last year (in rooms 8/8/11 for 2012 FD dates):

This is the bounceback that I had in my room:

It runs from 8/17 thru 9/27/2012. Quick service for values and regular dining for the moderates. Be on the look out for this in your room.
Looks like maybe general public will maybe eventually get this . Lets hope!
The lady at the reservations said it was first placed in the rooms on 8/8/2011.

I'm hoping for a bounceback offer when we go in Sept. for Aug/Sept of 2013 for free dining like they have done the past few years. I'm thinking that it should start to show up in the rooms the middle of this month.

Yes, that is exactly what we saw in our room back in December!

Thank you to everyone for being so helpful... I can't say I'm totally clear on what to expect but I appreciate the info you've all provided.

I'm hoping for a significant discount on a resort, not necessarily free dining. I'd love to be able to move our group out of ASMovies and into a moderate or, if I'm really dreaming, a deluxe!

Now, if I go at the end of the month and don't see a BB, I might just have to make a trip down in December and see if I can get one.

There were bouncebacks in June in our room. It was 35% off Deluxe hotels. HOWEVER, when I tried to make a ressie, every date that we picked was not available. I was really bummed!

Usually there is a percentage off or some sort of discount offered for every resort category, even if not listed on the flyer specifically.

BB runs for the same year unless you visit nov/dec after they change them out. I'd say your chances are great for a Dec bounceback
