Hello all! I need some feedback. We have a reservation for this winter over the holidays to celebrate our 25th. We have had to postpone twice (actual date was 12/31/19) and current reservation is at the GF, something we have talked about for some time. Our hearts, however, are at the Wilderness Lodge, and more specifically at
BR. Our first stay as a couple (sans kids) was in the Lodge, and our 20th was in a 1 bdrm at BR. My husband fell in love with the space! Now that villa reservations are open ( not comfortable renting points yet due to cancellation concerns due to possible Covid restrictions), we are torn, especially since the villa would actually be less money. My concern is the condition of the villa, since their renovation was scheduled and is now postponed a year. Has anyone stayed at BR lately, and if so, how would you categorize the room condition? Thanks for your help!

They are a bit dated and some units can be banged up. It really depends on how you view the unit. If you are spending a lot of time there and want it to feel like maybe $600/night isn't insane, stick with what you have. If you want to be able to see both trees while walking around, and mostly use the room to sleep? They are fine.

It really depends on how you view the unit.
This was my thought too: it depends more on you than it does the room. If you are looking for things wrong with it, you will certainly find them---no matter how recently it was refurbished. If you are more focused on the overall experience of the Lodge and its role in your history, then dings/scratches/loose handles/etc. won't be a big deal.

I was last there in Winter '19, so I'm not sure how meaningful my experience is, but for what its worth I thought the 1BR I had was fine. Given your history with WL, my guess is you will have a great time.
