and beads and several diecuts and my total was $8.53!!!! It was 5cent day at my LSS and I won for the longest tape receipt. (Actually there was no contest, but I would have won!) I mean, 5 cents, how could I pass up the paper??? Also got several pens and some paper frames. Of course I had to take my 3DS with me and to make them happy I had to buy them each stickers at .80 per pop. Cost me more than nearly 98 pieces of my paper!!!!

I did however feel bad in line. There was only one cash register and they had to plug each piece into the register. These poor people in line had to wait over 25 minutes for me. I did offer all their kids lollipops though!

Holycow! Were they closing the store down?.... .05 that's a GREAT deal! I didn't even get that when our LSS closed its doors last month!

wow! And I was all excited about 5 for a $1.00 at Michael's!

What an awesome deal!

LOL about your 3 boys....I have 2 and going to the LSS is NOT their cup of tea! I want to go this Thursday as it's "double punches on your card day" at my LSS- I think I am going to leave work early and just bring DS5 with me....DS2 can stay at the sitter's for just a bit longer. He likes to see how far he can unroll the stickers and it's just a nightmare.

What an awesome deal. I feel bad when the paper is $.24 and I purchase 20 sheets.

I love the computer age but wish every piece of paper didn't had to be scanned separately. I feel like I'm in line forever.

Wow! And here I was excited because I didn't have to pay tax on my SB purchases yesterday... ROFL!! BUT I was looking for yellow 12x12 and they had NONE!! I hate my LSS!! It's really hit and miss!!

WOW! That is amazing! Why was the paper so cheap? Lucky you!

The sale was a countdown sale. They had 2 tables of things that went on sale about two weeks ago. It started at $2.00/piece and each day athey went lower. I bought just a couple of things on .75 day like a coluzzle template (good deal) and more on the .25 day, but when it got to the .05 you couldn't go wrong. Not a whole lot left but paper and as I said, it was stock-up time!!! Just gotta love a deal!

:( I want a Local Scrapbook Store :(

Everyone tells me I should open one -
but we already have a business and I don't wanna work that hard - lol.
I am however organizing that when our house gets built we will have a monthly crop at my house - then I can sell them all my stuff - lord knows I have enough of it LOL

I can't believe 5 cent paper though !
GREAT DEAL!

Patty

ToDisney - What kind of yellow paper - I would be happy to send you some of what I have. Just PM me or send an e-mail.

PattyT - I would love to open a LSS - I have it all envisioned but, I couldn't leave my job I have I care our health benefits. We have one near us but they aren't always the friendliest people to deal with. A bit on the snooty side if you know what I mean.

5 cents for paper - BOY I wish I could hit a deal like that. I did get 7 cents for 8 1/2 x 11 card stock at AC Moore last week. Like I really need more paper. I even bought paper on vacation in Canada in one of their LSS. I am crazy.

I bought 113 sheets at Michael's...of course *my* tab was $80--but I also bought some ink for embossing and a bunch of stickers and some other things like charms.

I still think it was a good deal...at 59 cents a piece the paper alone would have been $66.67--

No more shopping for me for a while...except I need...:)

$8.53! ! ! WOW! ! ! Love a bargain and I would have gone crazy too. Way to go.

crazyforpooh – I know what you mean about LSS’s snootiness. I’ve only been to my LSS once. I don’t care for the people there. Such a click! I pick-up most of my stuff at the local stamp stores. And yes when I travel, I have been known to hit a LSS…..or two.

That is interesting about the snootiness. Not to hijack thread but I have been known too! LOL The one I visit I love but I know many people who do no care for the lady who runs it. She has been fine with me but I also spend a forturne and usually bring someone new with me!
Now carry on...

The two stores I frequent have very nice sales clerks...but there used to be another one that had the SNOTTIEST sales people. It was like they were doing me a favor to ring up my purchases. They're no longer in business so I guess their snootiness bit them in the bum.

Julianne,
It was the Memories store right by the Dulles Towne Center. If you live out this way we should meet sometime. I could always use another person to encourage me to spend more money!!!

Thanks PammyJo I live in Mont.County (by marriage not by choice!) My best friend lives right there by the town center and my family lives in Fairfax. Keep me posted on any good sales and I will do the same. I'll sit on 495, 66, or 270 for any good sale even in the heart of D.C. traffic:D

I hear everyone talk about this Hobby Lobby. Do we have any near us??
