Bought my first Magic Key-and freaking out.

Signed on first thing this morning and got two of the special three day tickets for my son and his BFF and then pulled the trigger on an Enchant Key for myself as a retirement present-my daughter will be going to college close by this fall. Checked the calendar one million times. Bought the key and immediately went to book park reservations and two of my days are unavailable. Argh!!!! Do I just keep refreshing obsessively?

OP has an Enchant Key, so they only have today through next Wednesday to use it before summer block outs. Summer block outs begin June 6th and continue through August 4th. Then August is fully open until the 27th (90-day mark). She must be looking at this weekend which is showing as unavailable.

I'd keep checking to see what frees up, but with everyone wanting to get to use they MK one last weekend before summer, it might be tough.

Nothing sadder than to get a key and be blocked right away. But once it opens again in August (after the first couple of days of when everyone is jumping on it) you should find dates when you need them - either book far in advance (don't forget to cancel by midnight the day before if not going to avoid penalties), or start checking the day/night before when people are last minute cancelling - that's when obsessively refreshing seems to work pretty well.

Also be sure you're not looking farther than 90 days out, when the calendar opens. I do see sometimes Key holders forget and look for a date not yet open to book.

It may take a little persistence, but if the days you want are just booked, rather than being blocked out, chances are still good if you keep trying!

There are no more weekends available for Enchant until the 2nd week of August.

June six has the circle with line through it meaning there are no reservations available (not that it is blocked). @limace this shows you how reservations open throughout the day and people snag them up. We find the best luck with reservations opening the day before we want to go. Of course that doesn't' help much if you are out of state.
Edit again: Two minutes later, DCA opened up. That got taken and now DL is available again.

Yes, it was showing as blocked (slash through the date), now it is showing as unavailable. Now today and tomorrow are showing unavailable as well. I've seen that before though. I get the feeling a lot of that calendar is manually manipulated (as well as through some sort of algorithm), and I've seen icons change and move all over the place. You definitely need to keep an eye on things.

This weekend is not unavailable/booked, it's blocked out completely for Enchant, opens again for M-Th (if not booked) and then is blocked out again starting on Friday, June 7.

Regardless, luckily the OP is ok since they're looking at August. But just to clarify for any new Key holders who forget about the circle with slash ( no reservations available) vs slash only (blocked out).

Yes, as soon as you scan in, you can pick up another.

Honestly there aren't many times when the park is full. With Enchant, your MK will likely be blocked on the busy days anyways.
