IS IT WORTH WHILE TO BRING A CASE OF BOTTLED WATER ON BOARD AND THEN STORE THE BOTTLES IN THE ROOM COOLER???

Many people do indeed do this. It's much more economical to purchase your water onland and then bring it onto the ship.

However, the water from the ship is actually of excellent quality. In fact, I think it tastes much better than any bottled water I've ever had and, best of all, it's unlimited and free.

As others have suggested on these boards, you could bring a couple of water bottles from land and refill them at the Drinking Station on Deck 9 or from a water pitcher that room service will bring you.

If you drink a lot of water it might be worth your while. Keep in mind you can't put it in your checked luggage, and will need to tote it around until you can get into your room on the first day.

I brought several bottles of water with us on our cruise and really, they weren't necessary. We ordered pitchers of ice water from room service every night and I wished we'd have just brought two refillable sport bottles with us and kept refilling them instead.

Anne,

Why can't we pack bottled water in our luggage checked at the pier? It would be a hassle to carry 24 bottles of Poland Spring in a carry-on.

Thanks for your advice!

you can pack your water in fact we packed 3 12pks of water for our cruise in Oct and used most of it. We liked it for excursions and just to have it cold in the room. The refillable water bottles sound like a good idea and we may try this for our next cruise. The water or any other beverages you bring cannot be packed in ice but can be brought in another bag. We just used a huge LLBean duffle we had purchased and also brought apple juice for our 2 DDS.

Thank you Minniemouse1! I plan on bringing alot of bottled water (its all my kids drink besides milk) on board with us. We might bring an empty suitcase just for the water!

When we travel by air we each have a bottle of water.
We just kept refilling that from the tap on the ship. It tasted as good as the drink station water.
I guess some have specific likes and dislikes, but we found no reason to carry on anything more, or to buy the soda passes on board for the kids. I left it up to the kids, and they were perfectly happy with soda at dinner, and the free lemonade, milk, water, hot chocolate at the beverage station. My son did accidentally get a glass of half-and-half instead of milk, said it was the best glass of milk he had ever had!!!

I would not bother to take bottles water on with you. The water at the drink station on deck 9 is great. I would bring a couple of empty bottles with you to fill up and take back to the room or on excursions.

It's very heavy for teh luggage people to handle and if it breaks open during handling, you risk it leaking out of your suitcase and into someone else's, potentially ruining their clothes as well.
