Bottle filling stations not working

I know this is not important to many, but I just wanted to put up the notice that when we went to HS and tried to fill our water bottles at the newly installed filling stations at the new restrooms near the entrance, neither filling station would work. That is all.

Hoping you can still get cups of water at any counter service or quick service. Most used to have them lined up waiting.

You still can. But, my experience is that the QS resturants are so busy, its hard to get to the counter because of all the people waiting for their food.

Granted I don't go into every QS restaurant, but i've never seen cups of ice water waiting for folks. I've had to ask.

Me too. But in reference to the ice water, remember that several places have large coolers of ice water with cups next to them, for self serve ice water. You don't necessarily have to go to the counter and fight the crowds to get one.

Thanks for letting us know. I hope you also report this to Guest Relations so that Disney can fix them.

These coolers are great, and I saw them at HS when we were there last fall.

Just a quick warning: at all the coolers I saw, there were signs saying to ONLY use Disney's provided paper cups and not to use your own.

I appreciate the ease of these, but found the small portions of the cups annoying when I wanted to fill my water bottle. I also didn't like the waste of single-use paper cups, which is a big part of the reason I bring my own container. Not a big complaint, and I'm guessing there's maybe some kind of health regulation or they don't want people draining the coolers when a party of 10 all refill their 24oz bottles. Still, something to be aware of.

How big were the water containers and how big the cups? From the picture on a hot day, it looks like it would need to be refilled constantly. But I understand your point, doesn't make sense to grab 4 cups of water , just to pour into your bottle and toss the cups.

When working, does anyone know if the water from bottle filling stations is filtered or is it regular tap water (with the sulphur smell)?

The picture is an accurate representation of what we saw. I assume they were refilled frequently. I think at one station in HS there were two of these right next to each other on the counter. The cups were smallish - maybe 8oz? Basically an okay size for a kid to have with a meal, but not enough to stay hydrated on a hot day without repeat visits to the cooler.
