Hi,
I'm coming to Orlando next year for two days as part of my 24 day contiki tour. I know i want to spend one day at magic kingdom but i wanted to know if its possible to do Universal studios and islands of adventure in one day. Since i only have two days here i want to make the most of it and see as much as possible. I'm coming all the way from New Zealand so it's not like i'll have the opportunity to come back to orlando again as it's very expensive to fly to from NZ. I like all sorts of rides so i'm not fussed in those terms. We will be there in early may if that helps.
Thanks - any tips ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

HELLO!

We went to Universal Studios 1 day, Island of Adventure 1 day and then both packs the 3rd day last August...

We could have done it in 2 days total, but we prefer to take our time... We are going again for 3 days this summer...

I would personally say that 1 day is not enough... You surely won't have time to do everything...

Hope this helps,

We did both US and IA in one day total for the two parks during spring break.

My advice for getting them both done:
1. Get there early early early. We were at the parking lot 1 hour before opening and lined at the gates of IA about 45 minutes before opening.

2. DO IA first as it has the "big" rides...Hulk, Dueling Dragons, SpiderMan, etc. Getting to the park at opening, we rode Hulk 3 times in a row before moving on to other things. After Hulk, make your way back to Dueling Dragons at the back of the park. We did it 4 times (twice each track)..walking on the ride each time as there were no lines that early. Try to squeeze Spiderman in on your walk back toward Dueling Dragons or the line will be worse later in the day.

3. Do the rest of IA before lunch.

4. Eat lunch...we did it on Citywalk to be b/w the parks.

5. Get into US by 12:30 at the latest. Go straight to the back to do the big ones first (ie Men in Black, Jaws, Mummy) and then work your way forward.

6. At US, use the "single rider line" to speed up your touring. We found that we often got placed together anyway and never waited any more than 10 minutes.

thanks for the help.
I really appreciate all your tips, keep them coming! :-)
