Is it possible to do both US/IOA in the same day? Our kids will be 16, 12, and a friend 16. We went 2 years ago and did US one day and IOA one evening but didn't get to finish (I got sick after one of the rides-I can't remember what it's called, it's the one that's outside and drops you from like a mile high several times). We're staying at WDW and I am trying to decide if I should buy 1 day or 2 day passes to US/IOA. Any feedback would be appreciated. We'll be at WDW for 8 days, so it doesn't matter if we do it in 1 or 2 days. Thanks for any info.

If you're planning on riding all the rides and seeing all the shows, I would say no. My family and I just came back from doing both parks on 12/22. Since my family and I were at US/IOA last year, we skipped a lot of the shows. We got to IOA at 9am, left around 1pm, went to US and then left at 7:30pm. We were staying at the Royal Pacific, so we had FOTL access. It might be worth it to stay at a Universal Hotel for 1 night to get the FOTL access, cuts down your waiting time a lot. We never had to wait more than 10 minutes on line.

I'm guessing the the 12 & 2 16 yo are thrill junkies. I would plan on spending the entire day at one park. I would suggest IOA for them. The ride that you got sick on is it the first rollercoaster that you come to when you enter the park. That is the first thing that comes to mind and if so it is the Hulk. If it is located towards the rear of the park across from enchanted oak it is Dueling Dragons, this is 2 coasters in one.

Back to your question can you do both parks in a day. No it is real hard to do in a day and be able to enjoy the parks. There will be alot of stuff that you will miss if you were to try it. I live here in Orlando and I can do it but I do use single rider and express pass lines and I still skip alot of attractions. Even though you and the kids may think it is for kids, I've spent a couple of hours in the Fifels playland with a couple of other adults and older (16-17)yo kids before and have had a blast doing it.

Spend 2 days at IOA/USF.
You can do it in a day, but like others have said, you'll miss some things.
Add 1 day for Sea World of Florida (SWF) if you have money for the tickets.

Thanks for the info. I think we will set aside 2 days, one for each park. That way we don't have to go commando style. That's getting old. Oh, and that ride that made me sick was Dr. Doom's Fearfall. It drops you 150 feet faster than gravity. Sort of like WDW Tower of Terror, only kicked up a notch or 10. I loved Tower of Terror, so I thought this would be cool. NOT! It made me sick, and I don't get sick on rides. Ever.

Anyway, thanks for your suggestions.

Yes, if you don't mind missing all the shows you can do it. I do that every time I go, I go to both parks I ride all the rides at both parks and I leave.

You need to take advantage of Single Rider & Express Lanes. That will help you out.
