Both parks in one day? In September?

Hello!

My friend and I will be visiting Universal for one day on Monday September 8th. The crowd levels seem to be 'moderate' on this day.

It's my first time to both parks (my friend has visited a couple of times before though). Is it do-able to see both parks?

We don't want to see every single attraction/ride, our main priorities are much of the HP stuff, especially gringotts, FJ and the hogwarts express if possible. (Would be nice to have a look around Hogsmede and soak everything in too). Alongside that our top rides we want to see are -

E.T
Jurassic park
Mummy
Spider Man
Ripsaw Falls
Men in Black
Transformers
Popeye
Simpsons Ride
Despicable me

They are however listed (top to bottom) in order of what we want to see most, so if we missed a couple from the bottom it wouldn't be the end of the world.
As you can probably tell we aren't huge thrill seekers so we would automatically be skipping rides like Hulk and Dragons anyway.

We have also purchased the express passes too. I've heard these can be a little pointless in September but we wanted to have an extra backup.
So is it doable to see everything on our list? Does anyone have experience of crowd levels in September? I've heard it's fairly low, however we are going early September so I don't expect it to be as low as it would be in the later dates.

Lastly does anyone have any tips/advice on how best to plan our day? I would quite like to have a plan on how to tackle the day/fit everything in and in what order, but am not as familiar with the two Universal parks as I am with the Disney ones (my plans for them are fine thankfully!).

I can't decide whether to go straight to the HP stuff when we enter the parks (We'll be getting to the parks early for opening), or whether to wait and do them later in the day? Any advice would be incredibly appreciated!

Thanks :goodvibes

I think crowds might be lower than you think :) with an xpress pass, I hope you'll be fine. We are trying to do the same thing as you but two days later :)

You'll need the one day park to park ticket to ride Hogwarts Express. A one park base ticket won't do it.

Oh I hope so! Enjoy your trip :goodvibes

Yeah we have the park to park ticket as we wanna see both parks :)

Does anyone have any advice on how to make the most of the day from a planning/tactical point of view?

I'd choose my must do rides. Get them done early before the crowds arrive. Then fill the rest of the time with the other stuff.

You might want to consider getting a ride time app and keep an eye on it so that you can formulate some sort of plan.

I think you'll find that you'll be fine on pretty much everything other than Gringotts.
