Boston Event..Did you Add On?

I voted "No" - we really had no intention of adding on. The discounts were great, though, for those ready to take advantage of them. We'd really like to do a small-ish add-on at BWV, so we'll save our pennies for that.

Yes we added on. The incentives were too good to pass up. We added on 250 points.

We crunched the numbers, and did not find the incentives to be in our best interest.

We were looking to add to our SSR points. The incentives were fair, but resales like The Timeshare Store, even with closing costs are still substantially lower. For example, 100 points of SSR at the Timeshare store are selling for 70 -75 per point. The best offer at the show was 88 per point, if you purchased 500 or more. For the 100 points we want to purchase the best offer was 96 per point. That is $2400.00 more than the Timeshare Store.

FYI it should be noted though, that Disney's right of first refusal will be exercised on sales conducted below fair market value.

Added 50 pts at BLT. I wasn't really going to, but just couldn't resist. Now that my dh is over the initial shock, I think he's pretty excited about owning there. It's enough points to stay in a studio for 5 nights (Sun-Fri) in a standard view.

We did 100pts at BLT.....already own 160 at AKV

Added on 100 pointsat BLT. Never thought I would own at BLT but my DW really liked it and the incentives were too good to pass up, plus the low fees were a bonus. We paid $8pp less than what we paid for AKV back in August

We added on 50 at AKV (which is where we currently own) and we were able to get the same use year.

I was hoping to convince my DH to do a 50 point add on at the Boston show, but to my surprise, we added on 160 points at BLT. Sooooo excited!!!!

50 at GCV for us so we can go every 3rd year with banking and borrowing. DH keeps saying we should have added at BLT as well but we really want to hold out for a VWL resale instead so we didn't cave in.

No! I had a reservation, but that's exactly why I didn't attend! I really didn't want BLT and didn't want the temptation (they do make it sound good don't they)

No we did not add on. It would cost us less money to add on with my son's cm discount.
