If I keep borrowing, eventually, I'll run out of points, right? Have 700 points and it seems that each year, I borrow between 80 and 100. Eventually this deficit will come back to roost.

Only in the last year of your contract, and by then you probably won't care:rolleyes1. If you are always borrowing 100 points, than you are still only using about 700 per year. For example: In 2012 you borrow 100 from 2013. Your 2013 use year now only has 600 points. If in 2013, you borrow 100 points again, you are just bringing your available total back to 700. The only year that you will be short of points is in the last year when you have mo more future years of points to borrow from.

If you started out borrowing 100 points in year 1 and that turned into 200 points in year 2, and 300 points in year 3... then you would have to take a "year off" to correct your problem.

The simpler solution is to add more points...:lmao:

I figured if I transferred 30 points from a friend this year, I could dig myself out by 2015, but what you say sounds good. Maybe I just have to let it ride. Used to be I had points to rent, but not anymore. Adding on is always calling, but dh would never go for it.

I'm in the same boat! :rotfl2:

Because of the DVC PAP offer. We have 2 WDW trips scheduled this year (Summer and Land/Cruise trip in Nov) which used up next years points.

Good thing our Spring Break falls in April which is my UY so I get a brand new set of points to borrow from! Otherwise, I'll be stuck with skipping a year, or staying at Bonnet Creek using our Wyndham points instead!

Not necessarily...if someone has 700 points and borrows 100, that means they used 800 in year 1. In year 2, they would start with only 600 points...if they need that same 800, now they'd be borrowing 200, which only leaves 500 for year 3. If this continues, someone would run out in year 8. Now, if they only use 800 year 1, but then stay under the 700 per year, then it would take longer.

So do something else other than something with DVC points.
