Borrowing points question

I know this has probably been asked a thousand times but, if I'm going to borrow points to make a reservation at my home resort I don't have to wait til the 7 month window to use the borrowed points do I?

Nope!

You can use your points to book your home resort at the 11th window. I have done it before myself!

Borrowed points are supposed to retain their original home resort status, so if you need them for a reservation made at 11 months, it would be wise to make sure they are for that resort - otherwise you may be sadly disapoointed.

DVC apparently has difficulty tracking transferred points, so you "might" be OK before 7 months with non-home points, but I'd sure hate to be disappointed if MS won't allow it all of a sudden.

To be safe, I'd try to find points from the resort where you want to reserve.

I see what you mean Doc and I will be borrowing from the points from my home resort for a stay there, so I think I'm good.
