Borrowing DVDs.

DH and I are thinking we might borrow some DVDs to watch in the room at night once the baby is asleep. I read somewhere that DVC members can borrow them free. Just a few questions...

At SSR do you borrow them from Community Hall or the shop?

Do the resorts generally stock just Disney cartoons or feature films too?

Will our 2 bed unit have a DVD player in the living area as well as the bedroom?

Don't know where to get the DVD's at SSR but at Vero, BCV and VWL you get them at the store and at OKW at Hank's. They have all sorts of movies, some even 'R' so not all kids stuff. The only DVD is the LR area. The BRs have TV but no DVD/VCR player.

We just returned form SSR 2 weeks ago, we loved it all nice and new, it has a very "upscale ' feel to the units.

And Yes, they are free to members staying on points.

Usually the DVD players and VCRs are just in the living room, not in the bedroom. The studios have none.

At OKW and BWV, you check them out at Community Hall. At VWL and BCV you check them out at the store. Since SSR has a Community Hall, I'd say that's where you will check them out.

They usually have a big assortment of movies - all sorts of feature films.

You can definitely borrow them at Community Hall at SSR. We borrowed Nintendo games (even after we checked out...they held our Driver's License).

The desk in Community Hall is also the desk (facing out to the street) for the bike rentals...so I'm guessing you could go to either window for video rentals.

When we were at SSR in May, the DVD check-out catalog was at the shop near Artists Point.

For those of us who want to sleep in, they want the returns at either 10 or 11 in the morning, which, I may, or may not feel like.

I prefer to rent my movies via Netflix, and then just drop them in the mail as I leave for home.

No fuss, no muss.

And, then hubby and I get a kinda "movie date night".

Also, bring DD's 6 set of favorites movies, in a hard case clamshell.

Haven't had any problems thru the airports.
